:fuckoff: Those sneakers were cool!!

Remember stirrups?
I remember when Snapple was hard to find and only had a few flavors...
The sneaker reference reminded me of something similar. "Hot Dots" People were covered with those things for awhile.
Parachute pants only worked if you had a nice heiney. How about the pants that zippered down the sides and had a contrasting color inside the zippers?

Or, how about Toot-a-Loop radios?

Actually, my 4-year old loves sneakers that light up when she walks...so there :p

I had my Quisp mini flying disk for ages.......
anyone remember Freakies?
Quote:..having 4 tv channels
..there was no up or down button on the tv for channels, just buttons for each number 1-6
i remember getting our first colour tv, we got a special deal, it came with a 13" black and white tv. it was all modern and shit so it had 8 buttons, even though we still only had 4 total, unless you were super cool and had sattelite. i also remember going to buy our 1st vcr, i'm pretty sure it must've been spring of 84 cos my youngest sister was still in diapers (nappies) and my younger sister was coming up on a birthday, the first video we got was the care bears movie for her party. i never had a microwave until we moved to florida in 90, my parents just never thought it was necessary, but it came with the house.

it's kinda hard to relate to you guys cos i didn't live in america until then. but we had a kickass computer, back when they still used the cassette to load a program. it was called an amstrad, which i guess was the english equivalent to a mac because it wasn't compatible with the bbc's (ibms i assume) but it was all black, with just the shift, enter and f buttons and stuff in green and red. also in school, computer class consisted of plugging in coordinates to try and draw pictures, it was basically a graphing program. it's really quite amazing how far we've come...
What was wrong with growing up in GB? They had 4 channels also didn't they? BBC1, BBC2, BBC3 and BBC4. Oh wait thats today, nevermind.
bah, they have 5 now.

but what people don't realize is, we've had sattelite available for as long as i can remember and cable for at least the last 10 years. i think it's just that not as many people subscribe because our regular/network tv satisfies your average tv need
