I've met Maynard Ferguson a few times. Great guy with this huge happy personality. He was one of the nicest musicians I've ever met.

[SLASH]Maynard Ferguson released his most recent album Swingin for Schuur with Diane Schuur in Septermber of 2001. He is actually on tour right now and will be playing on May 14 at Carteret High School in Carteret, NJ. If you can't make that show, he will be performing again on Aug 31 Mountain Ridge Country Club in West Caldwell, NJ, then again on Oct 3 at Hammonton High School in Hammonton, NJ.
Right now he hasn't announced any tour dates in NY.[/SLASH]
