soriano's obp is 351, hillenbrand's is 352. thus then, hillenbrand would be in the top ten for that too
sorry, soriano isn't in the top ten in OBP. i added one by accident so its only 8-4 for soriano. my bad.
NAME AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI SB CS BA OBP SLG OPS
Alfonso Soriano, NYY 311 55 100 26 2 17 44 20 5 .322 .351 .582 .933
Shea Hillenbrand, Bos 286 43 91 20 2 13 49 2 1 .318 .352 .538 .890

i still dislike them both equally
but to be fair, i added up rbis and runs scored, then subtracted home runs, and soriano had 82 [55+44-17] while hillenbrand had 79 [43+49-13]. so i guess for now soriano is greater
robbie alomar still sucks though :disappointed:
what kind of stat is that? what does that tell you?
how many runs they produced overall
i fail to see how home runs would count against runs produced. the runs score don't they?
its counted twice in runs scored and rbis
Soriano is black. Black as burnt coal. Barely a person. So the fact he can run fast shouldn't count.
Would I take Soriano over Hillenbrand? Yep.
But everyone knew that Soriano was going to be great. Hillenbrand was supposed to be a bum.
hehe management where i work talk so much shit bout him, its funny
if a guy named josh hancock ever makes it big we have to go boo the shit out of him, but i know he will never make it because of the fucking attitude he has
he sucks

Huh? Too many pronouns, not enough Proper names.
Quote:This season, there have been 15 home runs hit from the eighth inning on that turned deficits into wins. Shea Hillenbrand has three of the 15 homers.
soriano had 2 more hits and the yankees are now in first place all by themselves. i hope hillenbrand enjoys fighting it out for the wild card.
Listen cunty, this thread was never Red Sox versus Yankees.
This thread is to celebrate the pure excellence of Shea Hillenbrand, and sometimes Derek Lowe. If people want to wax poetic on Soriano, I can deal, he's a great player.
If the Sox traded Hillenbrand today (say for equal value of like Vlad Guererro or Roy Oswalt), I would still happily follow his upward sloping career regardless of his team.
actually, i believe sleeper started this thread to state his opinion that hillebrand (and now i'm quoting) "is a flaming piece of shit. And Nomar likes splooge on his face." therefore i can wax poetic about any such issue in this thread.
and i'm not half as cunty as hillenbrand is.
I think you are misreading Sleeper's OBVIOUS attempt at irony
You have no say in the matter since you have an outdated screen name.
at least my parents didn't name me shea.
seriously, is shea short for anything? i want to know this already dammit!!
