Torre took 6 yankees, three who were voted in and 3 named to resevers, but none of them were blatantly undeserving. Piazza was the only met taken, starting at catcher. Brenly also took 6 members of his team, but nobody started, so Brenly decided to take all of them himself.

any thoughts?

:thumbs-up:. if torre would of left zito off because of his stupid he's pitching the sunday before rule, i would have been annoyed

and that 2nd base position really sucks in the al don't it?
Ventura, Luis Gonzalez, Vizquel, Santiago, Buerhle, Smoltz, Dunn should all be home

Chavez, Andruw Jones, Thome, Burrell, Urbina, Nenn, Giles should all be going.
yea why the hell was santiago picked? all the other nl catchers are that bad?
yes, they are. But they don't need three catchers.
has picking closers as all stars become the new trend? there are so many.
I am a die hard yankee fan but there is no fuckin way Rivera should have been taked over Ubrina. Ubrina has poste a 1.91 era and 21 saves and is not coming off of the DL.

The catcher situation in the NL is a complete fuckin joke actually. I thoght Paul LoDuca should have made the team. He might only have 4 HR's but the fuckin guy has 36 rbi's and is batting .315. He is a shit load better on D than Piazza ever could be.
these are the people they have listed to vote for the 30th man

Eric Chavez, OAK Albert Pujols, STL
Johnny Damon, BOS Larry Walker, COL
Darin Erstad, ANA Brian Giles, PIT
Magglio Ordonez,CWS Andruw Jones, ATL
Jim Thome, CLE Ryan Klesko, SD

in the al i would vote for damon over chavez, and in the nl i would probably pick jones with giles a close 2nd

as if defense is considered a premium over offense these days. damn shame really
Quote:2B J. Vidro, Expos 8-55-.334
What now arpi? huh? huh? huh?
i never said vidro was bad. idiot.
you said he sucked. Apologize now!
you are wrong. no

those statements were taken out of context. you will be hearing from my lawyer for your libelous use of misattributed quotes!!
Rivera should NOT be there...he's not in All Star condition this year, Torre should use a little more brain and a little less loyalty sometimes. I'm just glad that Roger Clemens didn't make the team because I hope he gets eaten by an alligator.

I've never really been able to put into words, my feelings for him. But, yes. that will do. That will do just fine.
