I'll be moving to Edison in the next three weeks.
Besides all the folks from India, it didn't seem that bad.
Oh well, I always liked curry goat.

Hey ya fuck heads,
I live in Upper Upper Westchester now. It's practically Putnam county. I don't have a cable modem. I don't have a Chinesse resturant nearby. There is a pizza place down the road and it suck and closes at 8pm. I can't get a cab. I have a driveway I have to redo. I have fucking deer nearby that I think gave me Lyme disease. And I have a fucking lawn to mow every fucking weekend.
And it fucking Rocks!
I was in Manhattan these last two days. World Financiall Center. All I did was bitch about the tourist. I inhaled 60 years of baked urine and garbage water. I paid $10 for a fucking chicken sandwich with arugula... I guess plain old lettuce isn't good enough for you city types....
You can get anything in NYC if you can pay for it. If money is not the most important thing in your life, NYC is not the place to be.

Ha, Sloats went to a tourist trap/Wall Street rich boy deli. Gotta know where to go.
From work, I can walk to Little Italy for a $7.50 lunch special with a chicken parm that's bigger than the plate, or to China town for $6 lunch special, or the all-you-can-eat Indian buffet, or hop the train to Katz's Deli for a pastrami sandwich the size of your head, or the Spanish place for a three course lunch for $9...or just go to the deli across the street and get a hero for $5.
And, I can walk out onto a pier that goes a 1,000 feet out onto the Hudson River, sit on a bench and enjoy the quiet and a nice breeze while I eat my lunch.
Then I can walk over to Washington Square Park and watch the NYU students, the dog walkers, etc.
After work, there are tons of good bars. $3 beers till 10. Then there's The Bitter End and Elbow Room for some great live music.
Walking Canal Street is like swimming up-stream, but if you pay cash and know how to negotiate, you can get stuff dirt cheap.

Arthur's response just reminded me of another reason why I love NYC so much.
You can find ANYTHING there. Especially when it comes to food. Your options are limitless.

DGW and Fblingaling can rest easy, after reading how many dune coons live there, Edison has just been scratched off my list.

Sean, next time you come out to Jersey, I'll take you to Potter's Crossing, and then you'll see why I've called them natives.
Although, one of the girls from the now defunct group Total is from and still lived in Potter's Crossing last I heard.

yeah, you're about 1/4 mile from potter's crossing. admittedly, it ain't what it used to be, but niggers will be niggers...
You know the Foodtown/Wegman's (or whatever it is this week) in the Inman-Grove shopping center? Potter's is right behind that.
Oh, and you know the apartment complex that's on both sides of grove, just before you get to stonehedge? Yeah, that's low-income housing. That's where all of the wiggers used to live. I assume it's still the same High-Quality white trash living in that place, too.
