would you two just fuck already and get it over with.
I would rather be a geek with a decent job than a cool motherfucker bustin' his ass to make ends meet.

My friends have differing opinions about the message board, my geek friends get it, my other friends don't. But then again, one friend who doesn't understand how I can spend hours on the computer, will sit and watch the stats update on sports websites.

To each his/her own, I suppose. I'm quite happy being a geek and learning something new everyday. Much moreso than I would be with meeting new people everyday and being concerned about my tan, or my clothes. Vanity is fleeting, learning is a nonstop process.
Maybe Ken can bring up Spaz on the OA board?

Kid, do you mind if I file theTo each his/her own, I suppose. reference for use during some future argument? Oh and the being concerned about my tan reference coming from you is just too fucking priceless.

I think my son is the only person I know away from here that even knows I post on a board. As IT is my profession, people kind of treat me like a doctor when it comes to computer problems. I think they feel funny asking me for help.
talking on a message board is fine.....
as long as you're talking to Katya :loveya: :loveya: :loveya:

a girl like that doesn't need her name in lights to be loved.:loveya: :loveya:
:disappointed:
Quote:Do your friends bust on you for posting on a message board?

they have no idea i do.
OAS, I am rather "high yella", I do get tan (if I ever saw daylight I would, anyway)
most of my friends dont know, but if they found out, it wouldnt make them think anything.i'm already a huge nerd, and they know i spend most of my time on the computer already

Heres where we differ on this one, I don't think being cool and being a geek is mutually exclusive.

Being a geek doesnt mean you have to spend all your free time (i.e. outside of work) on the computer and be a social misfit with pasty white skin.
Quote:he's a blooger UGH! :crackhead:

Um...what is a blooger?

OK, since that is out of the way, I'm not really sure how much of a geek I am

I'm pretty sure I'm not a computer geek because, other than this board, I'm not a real computer guy, I've been told that I'm more like a gearhead. I use computers at my job, and sometimes deal with debugging a machine that runs off a PC, but other than that, my computer knowldege is rather limited. I don't program, don't know html...hell, I'm still amazed at Google Toolbar

But I guess since I'm an engineer, I automatically get throwing into the geeky catagory. But just because I post here do I consider myself a card carrying member of geekdom, nah, not really

Gah damn, yellow and black. Kids a bumble bee?
oops, blogger...

It's a message board where only the owner can post. Kinda like an online journal that no one gives a shit about

So it's a step up or down from a This-Is-My-Dog webpage?
The truth of me posting on a messageboard is a more highly guarded secret than if I'd been molested as a kid.
the fact that I was involved with drama because I was made a mod of a message board travels with me to the grave.
my friends know i come here, mostly because when i send them links to pictures or other things that were posted, they ask where i found it

What's your point?
Some of my friends say I'm a geek...
I tell them I'm just getting started...:crackhead:
My point is that I feel the level of drama is too goofy to own up to sometimes.

That someone can Loathe a name on a screen is a tad extreme.
