When you where a kid, what was your favorite way of getting around the neighborhood?

Bike?
Rollerskates?
Skateboard?
Scooter?
Go-cart?

What kind did you have?
this thread sucks
I'm no K1d
p.k. ripper bike. it was cool

later i got into dirtbikes. i miss my KX125
big wheel, bmx bike, skateboard, honda scooter(Elite 50 when I was 15)

I loved my honda scooter. It was such a great thing to have my own method of transport at 15, even if it wouldn't go over 35MPH. I used to ride that thing all over Dallas.

my strawberry short-cake bike and my feet.
I had a Varoom bike. Had this little plastic motor on it with a key and throttle that made it look like you had a motorcycle. I thought I was hot shit when my parents bought that for my birthday.

oh and i had the yellow and blue fisher price roller skates. but with those you really didn't skate...you just kinda clunked around with these things strapped to your feet.
I nearly forgot, my mom started letting me drive her car right before I turned 16, too. No license, but I still drove the hell out of that car. Funny thing is, when I finally got into an accident (while driving with no license), the cop spoke to my mother on the phone... When the cop got off the phone, she came back and said, "I could arrest you for this, but I think your mother is going to kill you anyway." My mom was pretty pissed, but I don't even think I got grounded.
my first mode of transportation was a big wheel, some kid in the neighborhood stole it and since i happen to had made friends with some older kids in the neighborhood they went and beat the kid up and got my big wheel back for me. i was a wee little tyke of about 6 or 7 then.

after that it was DYNO chrome dirtbike. we rode those bikes from clubhouse to clubhouse which we built from wood we stole from the construction workers building house in our neighborhood.

soon after the bikes were our mode of transport for the endless days of sports we played, football, baseball, hockey, all day long. where did we get all that energy???
I had a red and blue Kent bike that I beat the crap out of until it fell apart. Never got a new one.
Had roller skate until I out grew them. Didn't get new ones until I bought rollerblades a few years ago.
Had a cheap plastic skateboard I got at a yard sale until one of the wheels snapped off. Never got it fixed.
Built a go-cart with a friend once. Fell apart the first day we started going down hill with it. Shitty contruction, no parental help. In fact, they were pretty pissed when they found out we were messing with the power tools.

Hand-me down bike and a thousand twisting foot paths if you didn't want to walk in the street.
I wasn't allowed to go far without my parents, so I rode around the block on my Hot Wheels or skated with my Fisher Price adjustable skates...I was so cool...eek.
My skateboard and I went everywhere together. :thumbs-up:
