Quote::loveya: oneway heartache, where you sit almost embalmed with desire and need
:loveya: :loveya: or it can be a two person process of give and take.
There are two kinds of love.
The Greeks had the best description for these two very different kinds of *ahem* "love".
They used different words,
eros and
agape to distinguish between these two profoundly different ways of experiencing what we call "love". Eros, of course, refers to passionate love, while agape describes the stable and committed relationship,
free of passion, that exists between two individuals who care deeply for each other.
Eros: This specific love is an all-consuming, desperate yearning for the beloved, who is percieved as different, mysterious, and elusive. The depth of love is measured by the intensity of obsession with the loved one. There is little time or attention for other interests and pursuits, because so much energy is focused on recalling past encounters or imagining future ones. Often, great obstacles must be overcome, and thus there is an element of suffering in this specific true love. Another indication of the depth of this love is the willingness to endure pain and hardship for the sake of the relationship. Feelings that are mostly associated with this kind of love are excitement, rapture, drama, anxiety, tension, mystery, and yearning.
Agape: This particular love is a partnership to which two caring people are deeply committed. These people share many basic values, interests, and goals, and tolerate good-naturedly thier individual differences. The depth of this love is measured by mutual trust and respect. Each views the other as his/her most cherished friend. Feelings associated with agape are serenity, security, devotion, understanding, companionship, mutual support, and comfort.

Quote:. Having a crush on someone is like being hungry all the time and staring through the resteraunt window, but not being able to go inside.
Sounds more like a stalker.
Rosie the Robot on the Jetsons summed it all up....
"This is Miss Judy in love: tra-la-laaaa, tra-la-laaaa....This is Miss Judy out of love: ahhhahhhhhh...ahhhhhahhhhhhhh"

That's great! Thanks. :loveya:
Dude, luna is long and skinny, and gets filled up with creamy white stuff every so often...
BUT, she's not a twinkie!

Canoli?
"Leave the gun, take the canoli."
Hmmmm..... well, I have always taken the "L" word very seriously. I honestly feel it is the most overused word in the English language. Poeple that have known each other a few days are sometimes in "love". BAH!
I think love is quite possibly, when used properly, the most powerful word we have. I have always said that I planned on marrying the woman I finally "loved". There were 3 that I have always said I might have "loved", and then I met HER.
I was hooked.... my world suddenly revolved completely around her. I would have gladly taken white hot pokers in the eye to spare her the slightest pain. She haunted my thoughts constantly, kept me up at night when she wasn't near, and calmed my soul with her presence. Until the day that fucking bitch ripped my heart out and stomped on it. Chewed it up like a dog with a new bone, slobbered her cooties all over it then cast it aside like a piece of garbage.
Eventually I recovered, and realized that I was not "in love", but simply in love with the idea of being in love. Sometimes I wonder what she is doing now, what she was thinking, why she did it, but then i think of how cool it would be to fucking bludgeon her with an old tire iron, and I feel much better.

Can't remember where I heard this one:
Love is when you want someone not inspite of their faults, but because of them.
love to me feels:
warm
painful...it hurts so good.
comfortable
complete
dizzy/dioreanted
fulfilled
consumes every thought you have, morning, noon and, night.
Love to me is something that never goes away, even when the person does....

Soooo fuckin true.
Quote:Love is when you want someone not inspite of their faults, but because of them.
I couldn't agree more. You fall in love with all the things that everyone else finds as a fault. You like it because it's what makes them them.

This is so true... :loveya:
I know this sounds odd, but love is like a song that you find a special meaning in....no one really understands just what makes that song so special to you, but there's something about it that touches you and only you to the core.....and thats what love does....it touches you to the depths of your being, and others on the outside don't really understand it, but you do....love is private....and special....
Ughh...I'm getting sappy.
Love is when you stay for breakfast.
Quote:Love is when you stay for breakfast.
Nah, that's just hunger.
Love is when your balls smell and she still goes down anyway.
