Lets just enjoy the fact that we have a player like Bonds who will be looked upon as Ruth is looked at today. I wonder if people really knew how good Ruth really was when there was no player before him as a frame of reference.

Even though they had no frame of reference, they probably did know. He was the Michael Jordan of his day, as much as celebrity as player.

As for bonds, he may be a great player, but it is ridiculous the way the avoid pitching to him. Is he even the best player now? Is A-rod better? Is he doin' roids?

Can the fans in Anaheim pull a rodney king and beat bonds with their thunder sticks.
