FTP falls into the same category as web pages. If you can directly access the web using any program you install , it's likely they're not monitoring you. If you have to go through a proxy server (you can check your IE settings to be sure), then assume they are.
And all company email has to go through company servers, so they can easily intercept it as it goes in and out.

Excellent, JJ. Thanks for the info. IE has to go through a proxy, but it looks like WSFTP doesn't...
