you are defnitely right on Cobb, he was a horrible person but he was one Hell of a baseball player. i knew i was going to be leaving out alot of really good candidates which is why i asked you to name your own. i think its interesting that many of the greatest athletes are baseball players when baseball really doesnt require as much athleticism as other sports, more brains, skill, instinct, mechanics, etc... but again, it comes down to how you define "athlete"
If we define athlete on the basis of physicality, then you can basically only include football players, boxers and soccer players.
