This weekend I was preparing the house for Halloween and I had AMC on the whole time. For those of you who don't know, American Movie Channel was playing horror/monster films non-stop from Friday until Halloween. (A couple of repeats.) Nothing was getting me more in the mood than the movies. All of the bad Halloween series, I am pissed that I missed the original Mummy, Frankenstein, etc... My favorite moment was building a tombstone out of a UPS box and hearing "They're coming to get you Barbara!" in Halloween II (which had Night of the Living Dead in the Background).

So what are you doing for Halloween. This one is special for me: New house in a new neighborhood. Never had any kids ringing the bells in the apartment complex. I have a grave site, a hanging man, strobe lights, and about 10 pounds of candy.

My grandma would give kids cough drops for haloween. They'd been in her cabinet for like a decade, she was cleaning out the kitchen and found them. She's been giving them out for the past 4 years.

I'm not doing anything special this year - next year we'll be in the new house, so I'll probably do the yard up, hand out the candy, etc.

What about those old ladies that give out pennies instead of candy? I used to hate that as a kid - they might as well have given my coupons, they'd be worth more :fuckoff:

giving candy out for the first time this year. last couple of years, i was in da hood, and didn't open my door for anyone without a badge. this year, though, i'm in the burbs, so it's all good.

even if they don't come, i get all of the candy. everybody wins!!1!

One year, went to a house & they were completely shocked we rang the bell, so he reached in his pocket and threw a handful of change in one of out bags. :disappointed:
