Not true. There is a class or two of police recruits in the academy now. They started in July and will be out on the street in the next couple of months.

today the dickhead mayor's spokesman said that commuters are far wealthier and bringing them into the city's tax base would shift the whole burden. I live in Jersey because the houses in New York are too fucking expensive.
