Yep. I got the snap together kind. I pulled the carpet and pad up last night and noticed I had some cracks in my concrete slab. Looks like I'm off to Home Depot tonight to find some kind of sealer.

How much space from the walls should I plan on? and why?
pergo is a floating floor, that's why.

1/4 -5/16ths Is plenty. And yea, It is a floating floor, So if its not spaced away from the walls the boards have no room to expand so they'll buckle.
The tounges on those are pretty fragile, so be patient snapping them together.
And if your going to the depot tonight, fuck with some of their pieces to see how they go together :thumbs-up:
you're allowed to fuck in home depot? :fucking:
I think Expo Design Center would be more fun to do it in. They have all those pricey marble showers and stuff.
leanin' toward bed bath & beyond myself...
psst...danked....meet me in showers and walls department. :loveya:
Is this what I want to do???

Sure, If you want to spend the extra coin on the quarter round and the time to put it in....Or you could just leave the boards 1/4" back and put the baseboard on top of it. Either way works.

They probably recommend doing it the way its done in the picture, just to have you buy more stuff. And pergo parts are expensive as all Hell. Do it the way you think it will look better.
