When I heard that Goldust along with Val Venis, Curt Henning, and the Godfather were coming back I was wondering how they could bring these guys back in.
However, after last night's RAW watching Godfather get punked by Angle, Mr. Perfect with a stupid chess vignette, and goldust flaming it up; bringing down RVD and (gasp) even Rikishi... I thought 'With all the underused and overabundant talent in the WWF, why the hell do they need to bring back these guys?'
At first they brought in Perfect and Val Venis to fued with Austin after the Rumble, which went absolutely NOWHERE. Next the big 'Valboski', was on Exxcess (Yes, it's still on) explaining his futile (cough) career. Then, they bring in Goldust to fued with RVD... my question is, 'Why would they bring an X-Pac caliber feg like goldust back out of limbo to drag down a crowd favorite, charismatic young talent like Rob Van Dam?' Where could this angle possibly go? I can only seeing it ending in a flaming (pardon the pun) wreckage like most storylines being written by Paul Heyman and the rest of the WWF writers.
What about the HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO train? Well... I hope we can keep that a little while... even though I believe the Godfather should not of been absolutely raped by Angle on RAW.
Do we REALLY need these guys back? :bouncer:
Edit- Yes, I know of the split.. but with aging talent, and numerous youthfull and powerfull up and comers... the question is again thrown in your lap like a cup of Mc Donald's coffee. :poison:

The WWF is in the midst of expanding their roster a bit for the eventual break into two seperate entities in the near futre. They need to solidify thier mid level talent into people who can/will perform and maintain some entertainment value. With the nWo obviously going to be the head of one organization, it will be rather intresting to see how management builds up the other program.
yes, we do. everyone but the godfather can stay. the whole gone "legit" thing sucks. i really like mr. perfect though, i think he could be a very useful person, but they wont use him right. as for goldust and val, goldust is cool, and val will definitely be a main eventer some day.
here ree--> :fuckoff: :lol:
Right back at cha' Hybrid ol' pal. :fuckoff: :roflmao:
Thanks for the comments guys, we'll see what the rest of the natives think.
Mr Perfect's promo was great last night, one of the few bright spots of the show. It is said that those type of promos is what he is gonna be doing for the next few weeks to build up his character again.
Goldust can be used too. The entrance is great and flashy, and he is in great shape. Works the mic very well too. Matching him with RVD is good in a way in that he gets a big feud to start, but bad cause he doesnt match up well.
Godfather: leave now
Venis: Very talented wrestler who unfortunately has no spot right now. But, when the split happens, i feel that he can become a solid contender, maybe even a solid IC champ.

You just want to bone his ass, don't you ninja boy? come on...admit it. You just wish RVD would do a 5 star flog splash on your naked body. We all know the truth. You can come out of the closet.....freak!
Godfather is useless. He's an awful, awful wrestler, and the pimp gimmick is outdated. The whole "gone legit" thing (aka pandering to the PTC) doesn't help matters.
Goldust is another one that really shouldn't be back. I guess they figure that he'll bring back some viewers that have stopped watching recently. Or maybe Chuck and Billy weren't filling their gay quota. Eh, whatever.
Mr. Perfect, I think, has some short term value. He's a very good worker and is respected by most wrestling fans with a brain, and could help to get over younger talent. I could see him at the IC level.
Val Venis, despite the fact that he's been seeing HHH's pharmacist, is a future star. The whole 21st Century Rick Rude persona is stupid, but it's WWF, so that's to be expected. But he can bring it in the ring and on the mic, so until the vets start worrying about him taking their spot at the top, I think he'll do well.
As for the split argument: WWF has a TON of wrestlers under contract who haven't ever appeared, or haven't been seen in a long time, and could be more valuable to their future than Godfather and Goldust ever will be. Not to mention indy wrestlers who could be easily signed, and just fucking blow these guys out of the water. Unfortunately, they're looking for sports entertainers and not wrestlers.

so can i...i can see him winning the IC belt in about 1991
i can imagine mr perfect becoming a manager, or mouthpiece for a group (ala 4horseman type group) while wrestling in a limited basis.
Val is a good worker, and is definately an up and comer, but that rude act has to go...
Godfather - go away now thank you
Golddust can be good if used properly, but why rvd? they don't match up that well, but hey, i don't write the stuff, just enjoy watching it...(for the most part)
hell with that...did I just see Booker T in a fried chicken commercial?! :roflmao: :roflmao: Holy shit, i just did. hungry man fried chicken dinner. hilarious!
i guess they are trying to shove booker t down our throats as much as possible...first in matches, and now in meaningless commercials!
