Give vick a chance to learn.
Staubach learned. Steve Young learned.
some do, some don't.
Of course, that also means we should stop hearing about how great Vick will be until he is.
Now Pennington - that's a different story...
pennington will stop being great about halfway through next year. the ball spends too much time in the air when he throws, soon enough the dbs will get wise and start picking him off left and right. he should be able to adjust and be a solid qb, though. vick will just end up breaking his entire leg
Vick and Pennington are the future of the NFL. Tom Brady is a one year wonder. Pennington is god. And Kerry Collins is a lot better than people give him credit for.
i bet you TeenWeek was an Akili Smith fan

 No, I don't think so. On the right team, I still think Jake Plummer could be a good QB. Like put him on Dallas or in Chicago.

yes, because he was so great with 2 top notch recievers.

McNabb

Yeah him too.
Browning Nagle and Dave Brown

Never had the start Pennington has had.
The Nagle comparison couldn't be more wrong - Nagel was more like Ryan Leaf - a Million dollar arm with a 10 cent head.
Pennington is LIKE Montana (notice I didn't say he will be the next montana) Quick correct Decisions, mediocre arm.

No, because he has amazing accuracy and throws to the right spot. That is why he hasn't been picked off yet.
One season does not a career make, and he doesn't have the talent of McNabb, Vick or Favre, but there is no reason he can't be as good as Rich Gannon. (remember that has nothing to do with the receivers Gannon has).
i was not comparing anybody, i was just naming 2 awful qb's
pick the games with the spread
i ride the Raiderz this week giving 4
and take the Steelerz getting 5 againzt the Titans
not sure of the other spreadz
Eagles by 7.5 and Bucs are favored by 5.

dont get me wrong, i'm not saying that he sucks, or will suck. i think he's a really good qb, and has the potential to be great. but all the accuracy in the world wont matter when the ball is hanging up there too long and a db is in the right spot. if he can get a bit more zip on the ball but keep his touch, he'll be up there with the favres and gannons in a few years
hey DIG, you goin on saturday?

No unfortunately but I'll be partying somewhere no doubt.
i shall be attending my first ever Eagles game, i hope vick breaks his neck on that awesome turf :bouncer:
Actually, the more than likely Hall Of Famer, Troy Aikman's greatest claim to fame was that he was quite possibly the most accurate passer that has ever played the game. He is not by far the greatest QB, but his accuracy is what made him special. Don't give me arguments about how he had this amazing receiving core.... case in point... Alvin Harper. When Harper was a cowboy, he was the BEST number 2 receiver in the game. He was deadly on the quick slant, RAC, like the glory days of Rice and Taylor. Salary cap constrictions came in, and Harper left as a free agent, went to tampa first I believe...... never did another astonishing thing in his career. What made him so good with Dallas? The system was obviously a major factor, but more so, the ability of Aikman to hit him in full stride with pinpoint accuracy. A receiver at a full sprint when he catches the ball has the greatest chance for RAC.
Pennington may not have the strongest arm in the NFL, but his accuracy and decision making may well lead him to the upper echelon of QB's. Much like McNabb is a much better QB than Vick. Vick may well be the fastest, most elusive man to ever play the QB position, but as of yet, he has not proven himself as a passer. Sure, the NFL folks, and the networks will try to sell you on his amazing abilities in an effort to get ratings, but he is still lacking in many areas. Ask any Coach in the league who they would want to be their QB for the next 5 years, and I guarantee you, 9 out of 10 will say McNabb. Obviously, Favre is excluded as he will likely play only one, maybe two more years. Garcia is excellent, but does not have the same play making ability... Gannon is old, manning would be the other QB in contention.

Mcnabb breaking his ankle or tearing ligaments in his knee would be better.
