hey, a teenweek thread!

"Dirt" does look awful and I agree with Gonzo on that fucking commercial getting stuck in your head. All I keep thinking about is that fucking line when the dude says to Cox, "All I ever wanted to do is be an actor." and she counters with "NO, all you ever wanted to do is be famous."
Just awful
Just awful

This time you've gone to far.... THIS TIME YOU'VE GONE TO FAR!!!

Fucking show.
Although I have said many times that recently FX > HBO. As far as original shows go.
Just my opinion

this is fucked up, last I heard it was coming back in January. Then again, the last time I watched FX was for Rescue Me, so I guess things changed since that was on 'cause I remember towards the end of that season the Shield in January promos were running.
This fuckin' sucks.
This fuckin' sucks.

well FX is getting up there but I dunno, HBO has and has had some of the best shows consistently for years now.
FX has my two favorite shows, the shield and nip/tuck.
But the line up of shows that HBO Has had over the years is too impressive.

I keep hearing about Nip/Tuck but I never got into it, maybe I'll give it a try but aren't they into their 5th season or something?

FX has my 2,3,and 4 favorite shows on which is "The Shield", "Nip/Tuck", and "Rescue Me". If it was not for HBO bringing back "The Wire", then "Rescue Me" would be my favorite show.
The thing that I love about Rescue Me is that in a 2 minute span on that show you will crack up laughing and then a second later, really feel for a character. I know Goat is with me on Rescue Me

absolutely. That show is written in such a way that people's flaws are mocked & then sympathized, and it a weird way most people can totally relate - despite them being firefighters who are still reeling from 9/11.
The only bad thing about it is the Probie character. Sorry, but the whole fatty to fag to whiner thing they have goin' on with him bugs me & seems unnecessary to the show. Better to make him a loser that everyone can crack on than someone who they always have to coddle & be nice to when he gets pissy.

Not only is everything you said about the Probie character true, but the dude who plays him is awful. The Garrity role is great too.

never watched rescue me, looked kinda lame and im not big on dennis leary.
Leary is brilliant in small doses but can get quite annoying if exposed to him too long.

It's a great show, and while Leary is more or less the main focus, the rest of the cast gets their moments to shine - except, as I noted above, the Probie dude he's a small price to pay.
You've got your typical Leary moments but at times you really wanna almost cry - to see him go through the emotions he does it truly amazing. I don;t wanna give out key plot points but some major shit happens to him that for most people would probably break them but he manages to deal with it all in a realistic but painful way.
It's not al about dudes fighting fires & cracking jokes, I'd highly recommend a viewing.

Quote:A long wait for fans of "The Shield" will come to an end this spring..
FX has set a premiere date for the show's sixth season: Tuesday, April 3, a week after new drama "Dirt" ends its season. The premiere will come just over a year after "The Shield's" fifth-season finale; that's the longest gap between seasons the show has had.
The long dry spell comes after a season five finale that saw Lem (Kenneth Johnson) murdered at the hands of one of his strike team partners, Shane (Walton Goggins), who mistakenly believed Lem had given up his crew to Internal Affairs. "Shield" creator Shawn Ryan says the bulk of season six, which will run for 10 weeks, will focus on Vic's (Michael Chiklis) search for Lem's killer, unaware that he's standing right beside him.
Recent Golden Globe winner Forest Whitaker will reprise his role as Internal Affairs investigator John Kavanaugh in season six, though Ryan declined to reveal how many episodes he'll be around.
The show is also gearing up for production on its seventh and final season. Those 13 episodes are scheduled to begin shooting in late spring, with a projected airdate of early 2008.

Only 10 episodes, wtf! This season sounds a lot like it will be filler for the final season.

sounds like they're pulliin' a Sopranos :/
