anything is possible now, why worry about it? Whatever happens will happen, no matter how many of us are against the war, we can't stop it. For all those marches against vietnam for all those years, what good did it do? The war went on till they had no alternative. Public opinion only counts in an election year, I'm sure he'll come up with all these great points on how the war has progressed. Plus once we're in a war people will fear replacing Bush with someone who wasn't in when the war started.

I only watched a portion of it, and from what I did see, Bush didn't say anything worth anyone's time. He basically said things everyone already knew, yet it still prompted everyone sitting there to stand up and clap after every goddamn sentence. Urgh, I wanted to beat them all.

It doesn't matter if we go to war or not. Some lunatic could pull the shit Maynard talked about without an army.

There was two things I really took away from the speach.
#1 - He was trying to really get people to realize how fucked up of a guy Hussein is. How he's the new Hitler. The way he tortures and kills his citizens.
#2 - Our military is ready for battle and isn't fucking around. Did you see the way all the soldiers were sitting? Very blank faces. Mean looking. We're ready for war. And they want it, and there's nothing we can do to stop it. Even though most of our allies are now saying we should back off for a bit.
