Nicholson has the best chance to steal the category away from the deserving Lewis. I never liked Lewis personally but he won even me over with a tour de force performance. Not taking away from Jack but Jack could be entertaining sitting on the bowl for 2 hours.

Ed Harris has the outside chance being that he gets snubbed every year basically. Newman gave an excellent performance and the old man still has it. Walken was the man though, if he doesn't win it will be a sad day.

Gangs of New York was still an overrated mess.

I'm with Arpi on "Gangs". Interesting movie flawed by over-direction (yes, it was gratiously overdone by Martin) and under-written script. However, I disagree on his assessment of Daniel Day-Lewis's perfomance. Daniel Day-Lewis redeemed the film. I don't beleive in pity Oscars, I base it on the performance or film at-hand, and think Polanksi deserves it more as Director (personally, Peter Jackson deserves it, but so it goes).

Julianne Moore actually deserves both Supporting and Best Actress, in my mind.

Paul Newman was terrific in Road To Perdition. Walken was terrific in the very underrated Catch Me If You Can...Either one derserves the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.

I know Jackson won't get it, but it's ok because history will show that he changed a great many things as far as the use of special effects on camera. He will be looked upon much like George Lucas was for all these years.

I agree with Gomez but I think if there is any decency he will win for the third installment.

Bets on who gets up on the soapbox to whine about the war tonight? Cause all actors like musicians think they are poets and artists whose opinions are so fuckin warranted.

I think the ladies will be in on it more than the men.

My money is on Nicole Kidman, Julianne Moore, or Walken if he wins.

Then again if Michael Moore wins for "Bowling for columbine" watch the fuck out.

I am boycotting the Academy awards. I want to see who wins awards, not their grand intellectual views on the world. So, I'll just get my updates from the new pages.
