I can't wait for all the bottled water drinking fags in their armani outfits and lap of luxury whining about the war.
But barring that who do you think will take home the oscar, don't forget the oscars don't always go to the deserving so make two choices if needed. I mean the oscars are kinda political... no, really.
ACTOR IN A LEADING ROLE
Adrien Brody
Nicolas Cage
Michael Caine
Daniel Day-Lewis (should win, will win)
Jack Nicholson
Nicholson has the best chance to steal the category away from the deserving Lewis. I never liked Lewis personally but he won even me over with a tour de force performance. Not taking away from Jack but Jack could be entertaining sitting on the bowl for 2 hours.
ACTOR IN A SUPPORTING ROLE
Chris Cooper
Ed Harris
Paul Newman (will win)
John C. Reilly
Christopher Walken (will win)
Ed Harris has the outside chance being that he gets snubbed every year basically. Newman gave an excellent performance and the old man still has it. Walken was the man though, if he doesn't win it will be a sad day.
ACTRESS IN A LEADING ROLE
Salma Hayek
Nicole Kidman (will win)
Diane Lane
Julianne Moore
Renée Zellweger
In all honesty I don't think any of them are deserving but after the last few years all these weird female choices, i see kidman finally landing the award.
ACTRESS IN A SUPPORTING ROLE
Kathy Bates (should win)
Julianne Moore
Queen Latifah
Meryl Streep
Catherine Zeta-Jones (will win)
Chicago is the academy's sweetheart this year, and zeta jones is the toast of hollywood now.

everyone is saying scorsese doesn't deserve it, maybe they are right. But how many times in the history of the award has a great director usually won for his least spectacular production? Plus do you really care about the other choices?
