any rumors proved true like Goldberg coming in or anything else besides piper?

Overall I thought it was a decent Wrestlemania. I've seen better, but on the same token I've seen much worse. For me, the Jericho-Michaels match was clearly the match of the night, followed closely by Angle-Lesnar.
Did anyone else think they screwed up at the end of the Angle-Lesnar match and it was supposed to end after Lesnar hit the Shooting Star Press? It was as if they were setting up for the big finale, but Lesnar screwed up the moved because Angle was too far away and fucking landed on his head. God, that had to hurt! I wouldn't be surprised if he has some neck problems now.
Speaking of injuries, anyone else feel like Austin may have been hurt after the 2nd Rock Bottom? He immediately grabbed his hip area and looked like he was in real pain. After that he had a problem getting to his feet and the match was over shortly after that.
Oh, by the way, I officially take back this statement I made last night,

Quote:I just want to see the Miller Lite girls in a massive dyke-fest in the middle of the ring. That would be worth the $50 alone. That was friggin pathetic! Even by adding Stacy and Torrie to the mix it couldn't save that cluster fuck.

I think he really got hurt, and I also get the feeling he wasnt supposed to lose - that ending just didnt feel right, and it seemed like JR and the King kinda ad-libbed the commentary after that.

Goldberg had a promo hat said he'll be back for backlash...

Goldberg will/should be on RAW tomorrow, from what I hear.

I'm sure it'll be all over rajah or 1popup by tomorrow afternoon.
overall WM was allright - limp bizkit and the catfight were some of the major lowpoints, jericho/HBK was pretty good, booker/HHH gets my "HHH is too good to job at WM" award, and Hogan/McMahon was good only to see Hogan at WrestleMania - love him or hate him, you have to respect him.

No offense to Hendrix fans, but I guess they felt "Voodoo Chile" was more important to play than a patriotic song.

That leg drop through the table was just WOW...I mean it wasn't that pretty, didn't look too crazy but at a combined age of 107 you gotta tip your hat to Vince and Hogan...

I wrote my comments in the lesnar austin thread...but i only complaints are the length of the cruiser match, why did hbk win, and how stupid is lesnar for trying to kill himself on ppv...oh, and give me a break, 20 minutes for crap wannabe catfight and 5 for hte cruisers?? please
good show, i would say like 7 of 10

I think the HBK Jericho match was awesome, I loved every second of it. Hogan and Mcmahon given the lack of wrestling ability and their age put on a Hell of a match. The austin and rock match was also good considering. HHH Booker was ok, nothing special.
Angle and Brock put on a Hell of a show, the shooting star was just painful to watch though. Gotta give him crazy props for trying though.

He used to do that move all the time in OVW. If you look closely, he hesitates before he jumps. Also, Angle was too far away. He should have jumped down, hit and moved Angle, and then tried it again.
Trips/Booker match was pretty crappy.
HBK/Jericho was the best of the night. Crowd was very into it.
Angle/Lesner: botched ending aside, a nice match.
Stone/Rock: Rock gets clean pin not b/c Stone Cold was injured, but b/c it was written as a clean win for Rock instead of a screw over win to put Steve Austin in his place for the walk out.

Has Hogan ever beaten Piper?
I know they had their big feud in WCW over that but I don't think Hogan acctually got a win over him, did he?

In tag action I remember him beating piper but as far as singles in the WWF, I am not 100% sure.

I seem to remember that Piper wound up winning against him in WCW but by DQ so he didn't get the title
I'm only wondering because it doesn't seem like Hogan is retiring, and maybe he will have one final match with Piper, the only man he's never beaten or something.

He beat Piper in a tag match with Mr. T at Wrestlemania 1. Piper is on COnfidential this week.

Thats the tag match I was refering to, as far as singles competition, I dunno.
During their wcw fued I believe that they built it around the fact that Hogan had never beaten him. The same thing they did with Hogan and Ultimate Warrior, building it around Hogan never beating warrior.
Piper looks horrible though, the guys had both knees replaced, elbow surgery, back surgery, neck surgery and he's just out of shape. I doubt he could handle a match in his condition.
