It will be interesting to see how Arpi explains away his completely illogical comparison of Harden and Glavine.
Quote:When was the last time Glavine threw 97 and had control problems? Or threw right handed for that matter.
i of course didnt mean that he would become a lefty pitcher for the braves in the late 90's , ass. i meant in terms of winning ways and value to his team. i also said that he would have better inside stuff, implying the heat he can throw.
his control problems will settle through next year and by 2005, he will dominate.
control problems don't often "settle", if the guy can't throw strikes consistantly after throwing x amount of years in the minors and like, then odds are he isn't going to develop great command.
I don't give a fuck about 2005, I picked him up now.

so he better fuckin deliver or heads will roll!!!!!

well, I assume that this isn't his first year playing baseball, meaning that he would have had to develop his "Tom Glavine" like skills in somewhere other then the majors.
People often develop much greater control after their first couple years. Look at the walk numbers of Barry Zito, Greg Maddux, and Randy Johnson in their early careers.

Look at Ben Sheets this year.

So, just so I'm picking up what your putting down, a pitcher who wins and is "valuable" to his team is compared to Glavine?
