Cry Me A River, by Justin Timberlake.

Some things suck whether I hate them or not. Big Grin
you're still my buddy.
No one said Tears of the Sun or Black Hawk Down or Behind Enemy Lines or Enemy at the Gates...these were all good.

I said Enemy At The Gates, it was one of the more under rated war films as is Midway.

Black Hawk Down was a fine film but not great.

as far as behind enemy lines and tears of the sun, they don't belong anywhere near this list.

I've missed you.
The Longest Day, Enemy at the Gates was great. Saving Private Ryan. Hamburger Hill. Destination Tokyo, Full Metal Jacket, Run Silent, Run Deep.
Soccer (with Micheal Caine, Sylvester Stallone, Pele) was kind of a war movie. I enjoyed that one too.
Hey Quickstop where did you find that loop??

It would be more of a classic if either of you two schlubs could get the title correct.
sorry, I didnt pay attention to if he typed it. I just saw stallone and pele.

Victory is the name of the film.

It also stars Max Von Sydow and was directed by John Huston
I have no animations on my emoticons. Is there one that winks which would signify to Gonzo that his secret is safe with me and I won't let on that he had to go to IMDB for that information?
I didn't you cold hearted bastard, you never question my movie intellect or we shall duel to the death!!!!
with IMDB and your Blockbuster login is there anything you can't find in seconds and pass off as knowledge?

For shame.
actually we can't look up movies by actors at BB, only by proper title.
Eventhough it doesn't fall under either of the wars you listed I really have to re-iterate Gonzo's Glory recommendation, it's one of the best movies period, not just one of the best war movies. You see Denzel at the top of his game, Freeman showing up everybody in every scene, and a suprisingly good performance from Matthew Broderick.

I dare anyone to watch the end and not get goosebumps.
I've said it many times, "All quiet on the western front" is not only a great war movie, but one of the greatest of all time.
"Das Boot" is another great movie.
Bridge on the River Kwai
Braveheart...it was kind of a war movie.
All Quiet On The Western Front is an amazing movie, I left it off cause most people do not enjoy B&W films around here. Plus it deals with WW1.

Totally flipping it around, this is not a war movie by any means but still one of the most important films made during the era of "war films".

Charlie Chaplins "the Great Dictator"

The film was made before while the war was taking place and before america got involved. Plus before most of the public knew about the death camps and hitlers final solution. Chaplin was booed by many ignorant people but later on was applauded for his genius. He makes Hitler a caricature in the film while subliminaly spreading a message of the ignorance and hate that was overwhelming the world.
I didn't put that because I didn't consider it a "war" movie perse but I do agree with you. In that vain, "Schindler's List" was that kind of movie. Powerful, very, very powerful
Conspiracy

WWII true story about high ranking Nazi members convening to decide the fate of the Jews.
Extremly interesting and powerful.
