spun did it too, but some of it was edited. i don't know if its supposed to be like that or if it was the blockbuster version

Spun was a really good fucked up flick. Blockbuster sucks monkey balls for their 'editing'.

I watched a few films over the last 2 weeks.

anger management - not too bad, nicholson was classic as usual.

bulletproof monk - eh, formula buddy action flick, minus any redeeming factors

malibu's most wanted - turned it off 20 mins in, I was seriously no joke physically ill while watching this trash.

Life Of David Gale - excellent movie, spacey was great as usual, highly reccomended.

Gonzo seems like your store does a lot of things different then the LI stores do. We have nothing in the way of Soft Porn or Unrated flicks available. Something about being a good neighbor or some shit like that.

actually I noticed that.

some stores charge less for rentals than we do, in our own district actually. Some stores have different rental periods, we currently have 2 days for new releases and 9 days for games and non-new releases. Plus titles that we carry differ from store to store. We carry a lot of soft core porn movies, thats what the kikes love.

The best part is when they come in and ask to rent VCR's and TV's. Cause it would be a sin to watch porno on their own VCRs and TV's, so they actually rent equipment just to watch porn. It's just so pathetic.

I just finished watching 28 Days Later, what a crapfest that was. Nothing intruiging, scary or suspenseful about it. It turns into some cheesey action flick towards the end, like the guy turns from wuss to Sheen from Apocalypse Now.

I just watched Mulholland Drive in my film class and it went completely over my head.

Mullholand Drive is considered a genius film because its artsy and confusing, so people who think that because something is confusing that makes it genius, they praise the film. The same people who think 3 black stripes constitutes a painting. The film is pure idiocy, it was originally a pilot for a TV series. The first 90 minutes is the pilot for the the series, that is why you don't ever see most of the actors that are in the begining of the film, ever again in the film.

The pilot got turned down and lynch added an extra hour to the pilot and instead released it as a film. So basically he took a 24 episode series and tried tying up the other 23 episodes in an hour ofcourse thats impossible so he added all these silly abstracts to the film. Then all the psuedo intellectuals who also have no clue what happened say that anyone who badmouths the film has no artistic appreciation. Yet ask them to explain the film and they can't or draw some preposterious conclusion that makes it even more confusing.

If your teacher thinks that Mullholand Drive is a masterpiece he is a fuckin clueless moron, he probably considers Gone With The Wind a cinematic masterpiece cause everyone else says so.

It's a course on David Lynch and Atom Egoyan so that's probably why we watched it. I disagree that it was a complete waste. alot of the scenes were interesting and had good dialogue, like the audition scene and the hitman scene in the beginning where he keeps screwing up. It was one of those movies were the sum was worse than its parts, it just decided to be weird for the sake of being weird.

It's artsy trash, dialouge or no dialouge. The last hour is a farce.

i hated mullholland drive. after i watched it i was like "WHAT????"

i watched my godfather dvd earlier today. tomorrow i might move on to the godfather part II
