why would the dodgers accept that trade?

Edited By WhackBagKid on 1070417037
on the espn insider headlines it says "yankees interested in brown"
I saw this news on Yahoo this morning. Figured it was old news since I'm so out of the loop
I don't understand why the Rangers would trade Manny's contract for A-Rods. A-Rod is a superior player for almost the same price.
arod's is for 8 more years. i'm not sure what manny's is, but i doubt its 8 years
the weaver/brown deal would be a salary dump by the dodgers so they could go out and get a bat.

Javier Vasquez is now a Yankee, for Nick Johnson, Juan Rivera, and some reliever guy. Not sure how I fel about this one.
Quote:and some reliever guy

Randy Chaote - and same here, I think Rivera and Johnson were too much to give up, but then again he's a young pitcher with a hell of an arm (even though the same was said about Weaver at one time)
I would have rather had Vazquez than Schilling
good young arms are hard to come by. i think the yankees made a fine trade, which will benefit them in the long run more than sheffield will. they do need to find a good backup now for giambi. maybe palmiero.
I thought Palmeiro was happy making Viagra commercials
that wasn't very funny. And certainly didn't deserve an emoticon.
i predict the yankees will finisn in 3rd place in the AL Eastl.
shut up Shockey McPoster!
know who i miss?
NIGGERS LOL
the mets got little matsui
The Mets' Tom Glavine told the N.Y. Post he spoke with Millwood on Wednesday, and his former teammate said there were a handful of teams interested and the Mets were in the picture.
Pettitte close to signing with Houston. Ouch, that one has to hurt. You'll be lucky if Sheff walks and you can spend 100 mil+ over 7 years on Vlad.
