Anyway, there's another one of these movies coming out, another lame teenage movie. It reminded me of something my brother was telling me.

Anywho, we were discussing "Swimming with Sharks", and he mentioned a book he was reading, "Gig". Basically, it's all these different Americans talking about their jobs. This one dude was an assistant to a movie producer, and he was saying how he has a list of all the movies he's going to produce for the next ten years. It's a possible explanation as to why the wardrobes are so bland in each of the movies.

What movies you think were some of the ones on the list? Independance Day? Varsity Blues?
wardrobes? how about the scripts?
exactly. There are these particular traits in these movies. These are the types of movies on that list. What you think some of them might be?
The ones I try to avoid.

are there any surprise ones, like ones that were actually good?

Because technically people know of movies they will eventually do sometimes 20 years in advance but take time in making them. Sometimes they wait for the right stars or the right time maybe a similar film came out before.

Lord of the rings took over a decade before it started shooting, scorsese sat on gangs of new york for 20 years. But they knew it was gonna get done eventually.

But the rest seem like they are just coming out of the same factory with different actors, it's all formulatic garbage.
was the slinky movie on the list?
Movies like the Garfield movie reek of the list.

Even though they were formulaic, I think John Hughes movies weren't these type, mostly because they set some of the new formulas.

Maybe some Jerry Bruckheimer movies. Or stuff like The Truth About Cats and Dogs.
period movies. these movies rely heavily on costumes.
nooooooooooooo, really?
im smaat.
They also rely on tampons.
wrong period, fool!!
