Quote:You're full of shit. There is a problem with the site and it does cause IE to crash sometimes.
Show it to me.
Seriously... show it to me.
There is not a single issue with this site that I can find. And the issue that causes IE to crash is not specific to this board. It happens on other sites. It is an issue with Internet Explorer and the way it handles Javascript... sometimes it is fine, other times it will crash.
Just for an example..
I just crashed on Excite.com's main page...
Only browser window open at the time. Was looking at news headlines.

this and your board are the only 2 places IE crashes for me
i go many places throughout the day but it only crashes here and your board.
yep, this is the only place IE crashes for me too
firefox loads pretty fast
It only happens here for me too.
I never had a problem anywhere and I use IE.
IE crashes for me occassionally, and not just here exclusively. It was crashing here at least once a day for me, I ended up downloading some security updates and now it's been a few weeks and not one crash. Other people got the updates and it still crashes. It's hit or miss, just deal.

why should we just deal when we are trying to point out that something is wrong with the site.
and are told no nothings wrong
thats right, no nothing is wrong.

you've been told - there's no fix right now, unless you can manage to come up with it? If it's so awful, try another browser and see if it makes it any better.
not to mention, this was pointed out a while ago - it's not like this is news.
I haven't been able to get two "critical" security updates from Microsoft because I get a pop up box telling me the update is not compatible with XP?
I blame Microsoft.
I blame Microsoft.
I blame Microsoft.
most times in windows update, the critical update will have a letter/number designation (like M23543). If the update wont download and install just search ms.com for that designation, download the .exe file and run it locally from your machine.

4-5 people have said it only happens here... so that is my point
Point taken - but like I said, it's been looked into and there's no seemingly clear-cut answer. This came up a few months ago also, and the answer was the same then. It's not a conspiracy.
If your shit is fully updated and it still happens, then I dunno what to tell you. I know it happened to me daily, then I updated some security patches and it stopped. I honestly can't remember it crashed here.
I have all the latest updates for XP and it still does it.
there is also a error on the front page .
I dunno, I just looked, I see no error (aside from the Last 10 posts being current, which I just took care of).
Buy a MAC, use OSX and a Mac Browser.
yeah thats what i should do go buy a new computer for me to post...
this is the error
(screen.width/2)){this.width = (this.width/2)}" onclick="javascript:if(this.width > (screen.width/2)){this.width = (this.width/2)} else {this.width = (this.width*2)}" border="0" alt='Posted image: Click to resize'>
