this is strictly a list thread, if we were following YMB thread protocol.
there is no stricture in the topic title that disallows me from making entries myself. there is also nothing that says that this has to be a numbered list. therefore, i am completely on topic by just posting because my every post adds to the list of tired gimmicks that i rely on.
