I upgrade my aim today and now I cant sign onto AIM at all. Everytime I try it says AIM service can't be reached. I try to auto-configure my connection and it says it cant find an internet connection, wtf!!!!!

every upgrade i get, the slower shit gets

if you installed Deadaim, esp a cracked version, you'll probably have to uninstall it to get AIM to work - and then you'll have to find a newer (and cracked if you dont wanna pay for it) version of Deadaim, assuming it's out. If it's not, it will be eventually.

That's why I usually wait for the new Deadaim before I upgrade AIM.

I've never used deadaim nor downloaded it, I am talking about just regular aim.

It just doesnt seem to be able to find my internet connection no matter what I do.

I thought you had deadaim - sorry!!

try uninstalling AIM totally, then rebooting - if it wad AIM, you should be able to connect.

And how are you posting here if you can't connect!???

happens to me all the time, i have to try reconnecting several times until i can get on.

I believe Gonzo is saying that AIM can't connect once he's already online, goat.

Don't uninstall it. Just try restarting. Sometimes it fixes things.

well then, just keep tryin' to connect. you'll get it eventually.

And wear a silly hat while you do it. That way when nothing works, you can still be all like... "Damn! ...at least I've got my silly hat."

I have no problem getting online, thats my point. I am online but aim says it cant find any internet connection, I have cable so I am always online.

I have rebooted, reinstalled, reinstalled different versions of aim, rebooted again and tried it all a dozen times. Its not simply like keyser put it that it takes several times to sign on, I have been trying to sign on for almost 4 days now and the dialouge box wont get past the connection stage, then when I try to auto configure my connection in the set up screen it says no internet connection found.

I try e-mailing the geniuses at OOL and they send me back a retarded email and say I should call AOL, AOL says I should ask OOL.
