if you arm yourself to the teeth, it's going to turn back time and stop the cool kids from picking on you in high school.
I can say realize that another guy is good looking and not be a queer.

I wasn't picked on in school, they knew better then that, being childhood friends with the biggest person in the class didn't hurt either.
Just admit it, you've been plotting and scheming your way to a corner office with a great view since you started there.

his office has no windows.
Salespeople don't get windows. We sit at the trading desk. It's the way Wall St works. We are supposed to share info.
I feel like sharing my free coupon to hurry date with him. But it may be too soon.

Just because I can't work in an office doesn't mean I'm an anti social psychopath.
09-13-2004, 04:46 PM
No the fact that you feel it necessary to build up an arsenal in case the government or some rogue gang of homerobbers tries to get you makes you an anti-social psychopath
09-13-2004, 04:46 PM
yea, there are other reasons why you're an anti social psychpath

Human beings are the one species of animals where its process of reproduction is harmful for the mother. Our childbirth is plagued with increased physical stress on the woman, as well as intense pain.
In the course of human history, childbirth has been one of the major killers of human beings. Only in the 20th century have we actually been able to make the process of childbirth less harmful, and with little no know physical damage. Today's children can be screened for disease or defects, parents can be examined for any possible damage or harm, and new procedures have been made available which can save the mother/child/ or even both from life threatening situations.
We've only known about evolution, and genetic variety for 150 years. We never studied the human body, in relation to how we reproduce, or how we function, because we could not perform operations, because we didnt know what was going on. For a long period of time, we had no sterilization, doctors would perform using dirty tools and hot water. It was worse to have a baby with a doctor than to have it with a midwife. Children came out deformed, children died, mothes died. Men would have alot of children with thier wives, because they would die so often. All they had was some fugly old woman putting a stick in the mother's mouth, and saying "Bite down."
In hospitals, people die, and they die because no one is able to save them. At that moment in time, men are weak, and nothing can interfer with the play of universal events. A man comes in from a bycycle accident, with a scrape that needs to be looked at, and then, he falls on the floor, because an artery near his heart is clogged, and his body is reacting to the sudden lack of oxygen. His brain survives for a short time, but requires the regular dose of oxygen to begin to recover. At no point did anyone suspect this man of having a heart attack, but there he goes, and no one can stop him.
People die in hospitals. Mothers still die from childbirth. There are over 6 billion people in the world, each coming in the same way. Each is giving birth in a similiar, but subtly different way. Some of these ways are some of the best childbirths ever, a quick flop, drop, wipe with a mop, here's ya baby boy. And some are fucking bloody disasters. These are simply small events, happening on a social evolutionary scale, that will determine which of these women will be allowed to spread her genes?
The woman dies, but her child lives on. She is one of the lucky ones.

If I ever have children, I will either outsource the entire situation like Kelsey Grammar, or I will have the kid harvested after like 6 months so my wife doesn't get all stretchy and droopy.

Perhaps that is the new way of evolution, one which requires other people to give birth. A social gathering, of dorks and scientists, all for the birth of a child.
