I didn't watch one second of the debate. Is anyone surprised that Kerry beat Bush? Did anyone buy the Kerry campaign's posturing before the debate that Bush is an excellent debater? The guy can't speak. It's painful to watch him. Kerry will throttle him in every debate.
But it doesn't matter. Because Kerry refuses to give substaintive differences and actionable ideas on how he's going to pay for things.
Repealing a small amount of a small tax cut, isn't going to fund $2 trillion worth of additional spending.
Being "not Bush" I don't think will be enough to get an international coalition of support to our efforts in the middle east.
Throwing more money and more troops at the problem isn't a way to get us out Iraq, nor is it a way to appease countries who view us as imperialists.
He's all over the map.
Kerry is running on one issue: I'm not George Bush. And that's just not going to get him elected.

Here are the stakeholders and their qualifications for determing who be a good president:
arpi: lightbulb changer
sleeper: collects vinyls and listens to bad punk music
gonzo: collects dvds and wants to be black
hedcold: writes haiku with his girlfriend
danked: is probably stoned right now
keyser: gets migraines trying to evaluate a fantasy football trade
galt: afraid of women
mad: gun nut
laz: black
All of these people know better than George Bush because they said so.

Of course I know better then GW, I've read the Constitution and understand the limitations it imposes on the government. More then I can say for him and his bootlickers.
