Best pizza joints around where I am in brooklyn are papa leones and spumoni gardens. They don't deliver though, none of the good pizza places around here do actually.

You think Domino's is bad? Go to the west coast and get some pizza. It's fuggin' ridiculous how bad it is. Just some doughy crap in the shape of a pizza, with nothing else done right.
We actually ordered a thin crust pie from domino's the other night. Not because it was good pizza, but because it was domino's. It's never great, but it's always domino's.
I agree with the others though, if you want a decent pie in the northeast corridor, call Vito's or whatever pizzeria is close. It might be an american food that's more often than not prepared by a mexican, but they make the best pizza.

Quote:Patsy'sThat place is pretty damn good.
Down here in ATL Papa John's is the only chain I like. Pizza Hut, Dominoes, and all the other local places bow before it...it's nothing like pizza back home...just the best delievery we can get here...there's a local chain called Felini's that's pretty good...it's like 73% as good as NY pizza...

Newbury St. Pizza isn't that great. I lived right accross the street from there like 5 years ago and that was where I always went, so maybe I got spoiled.
I just don't like any place that has already cooked pizza sitting there to get reheated. That's why I hate Ray's Famous and pretty much every pizzaria shop I see in New York.

There used to be this pizza joint in bay ridge when I was a kid, its been closed for years now but I remembered it when Galt mentioned the reheating of pizza.
This place made pizza like pizza was meant to be made, in the brick oven, each pie indiviually made for you right when you order it. They didn't make big pies like everyone has grown accustomed to, they made individual pies which worked out to be like 2-3 slices somewhere there. They used whole chunks of mozzerella and amazing spices, fresh tomotos it was just amazing. It was run by this old italian guy named gino, he was a nice old man, none of this mexicans makin pizza nonsense.

Worst pizza seen, never eaten was in a Hadsidic Jew Town in Westchester, I think it was Yorktown Heights.
There was a fly strip loaded with dead flys hanging over the pies. The ovens could have been put to better use, IMO.
