Last week, a guy I work with signed up for Netflix and was wondering some movies he should rent. I gave him a bunch of movies, and Boondock Saints was one that he hadn't heard of.
I told him how it's on every "underrated movie" list blah blah blah. It got me wondering: what happened to that guy Troy Duffy who wrote/directed the movie? It was a good flick, you gotta figure that he must have been swimming in offers. Why hasn't he done anything since?
So fast forward to this weekend, I see a story about a documentary called "Overnight" that chronicles Troy Duffy writing the thing, getting discovered by Miramax, becoming King of LA and then turning everyone against him by being a total asshole. The review (which is weird they were reviewing it this weekend since the documentary came out in '03) really made the documentary sound hilarious. I guess the Duffy guy is totally insane and thinks everyone is out to get him.
