I've always been fascinated by conspiracy theories and naturally the Kennedy Assasination has always been one of my favorite topics. There's so many theories on who could have been behind it, was it the cubans? the mafia? the russians? the cia? a mixture of different people or was it simply just one guy named Oswald? There's many popular theories but there are some lesser known theories that our outlandish and some that are very unlikely but interesting to read and this is one of them.

Did the FED kill Kennedy?

Quote:Presidential Executive Order 11,110 is quite infamous among conspiracy buffs. Jim Marrs, author of Crossfire: The Plot that Killed Kennedy, writes that the order instructs the Treasury secretary to issue about $4.2 billion in silver certificates as a form of currency in place of Federal Reserve Notes.1 Written by John F. Kennedy, Marrs also speculates this order was part of a larger plan by Kennedy to reduce the influence of the Federal Reserve by giving the Treasury more power to issue currency. The order wassigned June 4, 1963. A few months later, of course, Kennedy was killed, and conspiracy theorists hypothesize a link between the murder and E.O. 11,110. They argue that the Federal Reserve was somehow involved in the assassination to protect its power over monetary policy.

The executive order modifies a pre-existing order issued by Harry Truman in 1951. E.O. 10,289 states "The Secretary of the Treasury is hereby designated and empowered to perform the following-described functions of the President without the approval, ratification, or other action of the President..." The order then lists tasks (a) through (h) which the Treasurer can now do without bothering the President. None of the powers assigned to the Treasury in E.O. 10,289 relate to money or to monetary policy. Kennedy's E.O. 11,110 then instructs that

SECTION 1. Executive Order No. 10289 of September 9, 1951, as amended, is hereby further amended (a) By adding at the end of paragraph 1 thereof the following subparagraph (j):
'(j) The authority vested in the President by paragraph (b) of section 43 of the Act of May 12, 1933, as amended (31 U.S.C. 821(b)), to issue silver certificates against any silver bullion, silver, or standard silver dollars in the Treasury not then held for redemption of an outstanding silver certificates, to prescribe the denominations of such silver certificates, and to coin standard silver dollars and subsidiary silver currency for their redemption,' and (b) By revoking subparagraphs (b) and © of paragraph 2 thereof.

SECTION 2. The amendments made by this Order shall not affect any act done, or any right accruing or accrued or any suit or proceeding had or commenced in any civil or criminal cause prior to the date of this Order but all such liabilities shall continue anymay be enforced as if said amendments had not been made.
John F. Kennedy, THE WHITE HOUSE, June 4, 1963.
To understand exactly what Kennedy's order was trying to do, we must understand the purpose of the legislation which gave the order its underlying authority. The Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1933 (ch. 25, 48 Stat 51) to which Kennedy refers permits the President to issue silver certificates in various denominations (mostly $1, $2, $5, and $10) and in any total volume so long as the Treasury has enough silver on hand to redeem the certificates for a specific quantity and fineness of silver and that the total volume of such currency does not exceed $3 billion. The Silver Purchase Act of 1934 (ch. 674,48 Stat 1178) also grants this power to the Treasury Secretary subject to similar limitations. Nowhere in the text of the order is a quantity of money mentioned, so it is unclear how Marrs arrived at his $4.2 billion figure. Moreover, the President could not have authorized such a large issue because it would have exceeded the statutory limit.2
As economic activity grew in the fifties and sixties, the public demand for low denomination currency grew, increasing the Treasury's need for silver to back additional certificate issues and to mint new coins (dimes, quarters, half-dollars). However, during the late fifties the price of silver began to rise and reached the point that the market value of the silver contained in the coins and backing the certificates was greater than the face value of the money itself.2

To conserve the Treasury's silver needs, the Silver Purchase Act and related measures were repealed by Congress in 1963 with Public Law 88-36. Following the repeal, only the President could authorize new silver certificate issues, and no longer the Treasury Secretary. The law, signed by Kennedy himself, also permits the Federal Reserve to issue small denomination bills to replace the outgoing silver certificates (prior to the act, the Fed could only issue Federal Reserve Notes in larger denominations). The Treasury's shrinking silver stock could then be used to mint coins only and not have to back currency. The repeal left only the President with the authority to issue silver certificates, however it did permit him to delegate this authority. E.O. 11,110 does this by transferring the authority from the President to the Treasury
Secretary.2

E.O. 11,110 did not create authority to issue new silver certificates, it only affected who could give the order. The purpose of the order was to facilitate the reduction of certificates in circulation, not to increase them. In October 1964 the Treasury ceased issuing them entirely. The Coinage Act of 1965 (PL 89-81) ended the practice of using silver in most U.S. coins, and in 1968 Congress ended the redeemability of silver certificates (PL 90-29). E.O. 11,110 was never reversed by President Johnson and remained on the books until 1987 when there was a general cleaning-up of executive orders (E.O. 12,608, 9/9/87). However, by this time the remaining legislative authority behind E.O. 11,110 had been repealed by Congress with PL 97-258 in 1982.2

In summary, E.O. 11,110 did not create new authority to issue additional silver certificates. In fact, its intention was to ease the process for their removal so that small denomination Federal Reserve Notes could replace them in accordance with a law Kennedy himself signed. If Kennedy had really sought to reduce Federal Reserve power, then why did he sign a bill that gave the Fed still more power?

Marrs also makes some other factual errors in his conspiracy tale that suggest he is not very familiar with the Federal Reserve or the financial system. He writes that a source of tension between the Federal Reserve and the Kennedy Administration was the Treasury's desire to allow banks to underwrite state and local government bonds, thereby weakening the "dominant" Federal Reserve banks. However, such a move, which was later permitted by Congress, would not have affected the Federal Reserve system because it had never been involved in underwriting bond issues. Marrs also claims that Kennedy signed a bill that changed the backing of small denomination currency from silver to gold to "add strength to the weakened U.S. currency." This is completely false. U.S. currency has not been on the gold standard since 1934, and silver certificates, as their name suggests, had never been redeemable in anything but silver. In addition, U.S. currency was not "weak" during Kennedy's time: There had not been any significant inflation since the late forties, and the exchange rate value of the dollar was fixed according to the Bretton Woods agreement.

In the introduction to his book, Marrs advises the reader not to trust his book. This appears to be good advice.

I read a survey recently that something like 80% of Americans don't believe that LHO was the lone gunman. I don't see how 20% do, but then I see the number that believe Saddam was behind 9/11...

When you start putting things together, you see the CIA not as the conspirators but the executors, Oswald as the patsy, Ruby as patsy #2, LBJ as willing dupe, Nixon as willing beneficiary, Ford was a stooge, and there's more...

And at least this is one conspiracy theory that doesn't involve Nazis or Soviets or Aliens or Naga People. And it's one conspiracy where most people accept that there really is a conspiracy.

Oh and defile this thread all you want, like I care? Post your money pants pix here!
I'd be really surprised if 80% don't believe that LHO was the only shooter. I'd think it was more likely that only 20% think it's a conspiracy. 80% believe Jesus was the son of God and 55% believe that every word of the bible is literal. This is a pretty gullible populace.
well there's a difference between th e two polls, the kennedy conspiracy or any conspiracy for that matter is mainly gossip for many people and lets a lot of psuedo intellectuals have a platform to spew their bullshit ideas. It lets people who have no voice in any other part of their life have a chance to be heard, have you seen most of these "experts" on conspiracy shows? They look like people who post on internet message boards, fuckin losers. So naturally I would believe 80% don't believe the warren commisions standing on the assasination. People love to gossip and pretend they are in the know on some little tidbit of info, I see it at work and other places. Ask them who the secrtary of defense is, ask them what's going on in Iraq, Ask them whats going on in the Ukraine and they have no clue... ask them about scott peterson and everyone is an expert, ask them how much J Lo's engagement ring costs and they'll tell you the jeweler's name who sold the ring. So that falls into the gullible populace theory as well, which goes with your poll on the bible. Most of the 80% probably have no clue about the assasination or even a theory but they just go along.
So I saw this on a messageboard:

Quote:The grey aliens have been using Earth as a base for around a million years. In photos of the Bikini Atoll atomic bomb tests (not the ones YOU'VE seen!) UFOs are swarming all over. In 1954, Eisenhower signed a treaty with the aliens, letting them abduct people and mutilate livestock in exchange for technology (most modern military technology is alien-based). Most of the technology, by the way, wouldn't exist without materials from space; the government, just as one example, has a bunch of mines on the moon.

Enter Philip Schneider. Schneider was an engineer geology type guy who was employed by the government in the '70s to build one of the 100+ underground bases that are around the country, linked by magnetically-powered bullet trains. By this time, the aliens had thrown over the treaty and started doing whatever they wanted.

Phil's job was to recommend the sort of explosives to use to clear away the underground rock; in 1979, he and a crew were doing this beneath Dulce, NM, when they accidentally came across an underground alien base. A shootout occurred; Phil himself killed three aliens, and one was of only three (out of 67) people to survive. Unfortunately one of the aliens shot him with some kind of nuclear gun implanted in its shoulder, which gave him a bunch of scars and dealt him a hefty amount of radiation.

This eventually gave him cancer and, figuring he had nothing left to lose, he went on a lecture tour. In 1996 he "had a stroke" and died; when his wife demanded an autopsy, it was revealed that he was strangled, so the cause of death was changed to suicide. All of the space metals, UFO photos, Philadelphia Experiment documents, etc., that he took on his lecture tour and kept in his apartment, were gone when he was found dead.

Now, since I'm home alone and everyone else in the neighborhood is at work and stuff, I'm going to go out in the living room and wait for the Men in Black.

This is a mixture of various stories. The Dulce incident in 1979 is widely reported as being something that had been boiling for a while in a base which we knew about already and in fact had people working in with the aliens. The exact statistic I've heard over and over again is that 66 people (I assume that means humans) died in the fighting there, and 44 escaped. The scenario I've heard two different ways. First version I heard back when I was into this stuff was that basically was that we found out about the greys' and reptillians' blatant disregard for the terms of the treaty and that something happened the led to fighting and they violently kicked the humans out of that base.

The second, and much more detailed account I heard was that humans working within the base gradually became aware (a lot of the human workers were drugged to keep them in line) that the thousands of humans that passed through the base and had nightmarish experiments performed on them were abducted against their will and not victims of some sort of mental illness which the government was trying to keep under wraps. After this therer was some sort of loose, secret alliance between some of the humans and some of the low-ranking Reptillian workers, which they had to be extrewmely discreet about, and that eventually this led to the Federal Government sending commandos in, presumably with the Draco's (reptillian ruling class) blessing, to wipe out all the human and reptillian betrayors in the base. Some escaped. most did not.

The underground alien/American bases being connected by bullet trains I have heard about repeatedly. Supposedly there over 100 of these bases, most heavily concentrated in the Southwest.

The stuff about Nightmare Hall at Dulce, which I've heard two different accounts of, was truly disturbing. Take a human and a random animal like a horse or a parrot or a spider, and combine the two (sometimes making two separate animals). What does it look like? Imagine a giant spider with a small human-like head (and those multiple spider eyes) with pinkish human skin all over. Or take a normal human woman and just remove the part of the brain that knows how to speak, so not only can she cannot speak, but she can't even comprehend how to, but is otherwise of normal intelligence. Or take several hundred women and just turn them into factories for human ova. only let them be conscious the entire time that their chained up for years at a time in some scary alien lab.

If you're lucky you'll just have your memory erased and be let back into the World as an unwitting agent with subconscious instructions that will be released when needed.

but heres a synopsis....

What is the Illuminati?
Just about anything you want it to be. Some communist commentators viewed the Illuminati as a capitalist plot. Capitalistic, free enterprise writers viewed them as socialists. Those on the Christian right view anyone not of their own specific faith to be satanic and probably Illuminati inspired; the Roman Catholic Church is definitely Illuminati. Although possibly the Illuminati are actually a front for the Jesuits. Many in the self-styled American milita movement view the US government as being Illuminati controlled. The United Nations must be Illuminati. Islamic fundamentalists view the Illuminati as behind the freemasons, the New World Order and Western culture...and they're Zionists. Others will contend that the illuminati are extraterrestrials.

No information has come from any group seriously claiming to be the Illuminati although Charles L. Westbrook Jr., in The Talisman of the United States, Signature of the Invisible Brotherhood [Ayden, NC.] and Lyndon LaRouche claim to have uncovered hidden messages in the streetplan of Washington, DC, and one pseudoanonymous online poster claims that the Illuminati hides messages in the wardrobe and social calender of fashion model Heidi Klum. Fritz Springmeier (AKA Victor E. Schoff), in The Top 13 Illuminati Bloodlines [Portland : Springmeier, 1995]—reprising his self-published Be Wise As Serpents (1991)—and Dr. John Coleman, in Committee of 300, The Conspirators Hierarchy [Nevada : Joseph Holding Company, 1995] purport to tell you who the illuminati are.

What does the eye in the pyramid mean?

Symbols mean what the user wants them to mean. While Jungian psychologists will talk about archetypes and the terminally unimaginative will insist that only their understanding of a symbol can be the real one—cultural diversity and historical records contradict this belief.

The eye in a triangle resting on an incomplete pyramid is a uniquely American invention. Of the four men involved in designing the USA seal in 1776, only Benjamin Franklin was a freemason, and he contributed nothing of a masonic nature to the committee's proposed design for a seal. The committeemen were Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and John Adams, with Pierre Du Simitiere as artist and consultant.

The single eye was a well-established artistic convention for an 'omniscient Ubiquitous Deity' in the medallic art of the Renaissance. In 1614 the frontispiece of The History of the World by Sir Walter Raleigh showed an eye in a cloud labeled "Providentia" overlooking a globe. Du Simitiere, who suggested using the symbol, collected art books and was familiar with the artistic and ornamental devices used in Renaissance art.
The all-seeing eye of God is noted several times in the Christian Bible : Psalm 32:8 "I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye." Psalm 33:18 "Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy." Ezekiel 20:17 "Nevertheless mine eye spared them from destroying them, neither did I make an end of them in the wilderness."
The eye inside of an equilateral triangle, point up or down, has often appeared in Christian art. It is often placed high above the alter as in the Pfarrkirche at Grmunden am Traunsee (1626) and the Fisherman's church at Traunkirchen, while it appears over the doorway of the church of the monastary of St. Florian near Linz.

While the eye and pyramid icon is clearly not masonic nor derived from any real-world usage other than the American Great Seal, conspiracy theorists are quick to point out that it, or variations of a circle inside a triangle, often appear in corporate logos. In popular fiction a stylized eye and pyramid, or some version of a single eye, is a common visual shorthand for power, secrecy, conspiracy or control. The intent of the creators of films and television programmes, in utilizing these icons, can only be a matter of conjecture. It is quite probable that conspiracy theorists and the visual arts are simply feeding off each other.

A number of conspiracy theorists, such as Jordan Maxwell, have claimed that the eye and pyramid symbol was printed in Bavarian Illuminati texts "until recently" on display in the British Museum. No citations or references are given, although mention is also sometimes made to UFOs and extra-terrestrials. The dust jacket illustration for the 1972 hardcover edition of None Dare Call it Conspiracy includes the eye and pyramid symbol from the USA Great Seal. Passing mention is made inside to the Illuminati, but no mention is made of the seal.

What does the pentagram mean?

From the Greek, "pente", meaning five and "gramma", a letter; the pentagram is a five pointed figure formed by producing the sides of a pentagon both ways to their point of intersection, so as to form a five pointed star. It has no specifically satanic origin or meaning and no connection to the Bavarian Illuminati.
The pentagram (also called pentacle, pentalpha, pentacle, pentagle, or pentangle) is thought by some occultists to trace its esoteric significance to an astronomical observance of the pattern of Venus' conjunctions with the Sun and has had many meanings in many cultures through the ages.
Éliphas Lévi claimed, with no justification or historical precedent, that one point upward represents the positive principle and one downward, the negative, or evil. This has become a common—if unfounded—belief.
The pentalpha seems to have been widely used in Christianity, and may even be found in certain Gnostic sects. It is commonly known as the "Star of Bethlehem," the "Star of the East," or "Star of Solomon," and is a symbol of Divine guidance.
From a symbol for health or healing, It was appropriated in the mediaeval period as a charm to ward off demons, evil spirits and witches, which seems to be the root source of its common association with modern wicca and satanism.

Who was Thomas Jefferson?

Thomas Jefferson (1743/04/13 o.s.-1826/07/04), United States President from March 4, 1801 to March 4, 1809, was not a freemason. On Jan. 31, 1800 he corresponded to his friend, Bishop James Madison, writing: "Barruel's own parts of the book are perfectly the ravings of a Bedlamite" and "As Weishaupt lived under the tyranny of a despot and priests, he knew that caution was necessary even in spreading information, and the principles of pure morality. This has given an air of mystery to his views, was the foundation of his banishment.... If Weishaupt had written here, where no secrecy is necessary in our endeavors to render men wise and virtuous, he would not have thought of any secret machinery for that purpose." Jefferson's endorsement of what he viewed as the Illuminati's liberal and democratic agenda has led to him mistakenly being labelled an Illuminati.

Does the Illuminati get mentioned in popular fiction?

Often. The Illuminatus! Trilogy has been dealt with elsewhere. Four other examples will suffice:
The Crusader , Jack T. Chick. These Christian comic books attack Freemasonry, the Catholic church, communism and the new age movement. The author, Alberto Rivera, has been demonstrated to be a fraud but the books continue to be popular in evangelical and anti-catholic circles. The Crusader Series. Jack T. Chick. Chick Pubications, Chino, California: 1979. 17 vols.
DC Comics. According to the Unofficial History of the DC Universe, [www.comicboards.com/dcguide/History/History_1_1900.htm] , in 11th century Persia, Vandal Savage's secret organization, formed in ancient Atlantis, takes the name "the Illuminati". Rip Hunter's cousin, Dan Hunter, time-travels to 1770 and inadvertently aids the Illuminati in killing George Washington and replacing him with Adam Weishaupt of Bavaria, a look-alike. Other than noting that in Flash No. 137, Vandal Savage is a Sumerian king in 2700 BCE, issue titles and dates are not cited.[www.blaklion.best.vwh.net/timeline2.html]

A Concise Description of the Illuminati

by David Icke

The Illuminati, the clique which control the direction of the world, are genetic hybrids, the result of interbreeding between a reptilian extraterrestrial race and humanity many thousands of years ago. The centre of power is not even in this dimension -- it is in the lower fourth dimension, the lower astral as many people call it, the traditional home for the "demons" of folklore and myth. These fourth-dimensional reptilian entities work through these hybrid bloodlines because they have a vibrational compatibility with each other. This is why the European royal and aristocratic families have interbred so obsessively, as do the so-called Eastern Establishment families of the United States, which produce the leaders of America. Every presidential election since and including George Washington in 1789 has been won by the candidate with the most European royal genes. Of the 42 presidents to Bill Clinton, 33 have been genetically related to two people, Alfred the Great, King of England, and Charlemagne, the most famous monarch of what we now call France. It is the same wherever you look in the positions of power... they are the same tribe!

As well as an obsession with interbreeding with each other to preserve their genetic structure, the Illuminati are also obsessed with symbolism and ritual. Interestingly, conventional science has documented that the reptilian part of the human brain (the R-complex as they call it) is the source of the following behavior traits: An obsession with ritual, cold blooded behavior, territorialism "this belongs to me", and an obsession with top-down hierarchical structures. This sums up the Illuminati mentality perfectly, and it goes that if you have more of that R-complex, or that it is activated more than normal, you will manifest these traits far more profoundly.

But their ritual is not just for ceremonial purposes or gratuitous horror. The rituals are designed to rewire the energy fields and grids of the planet and therefore to fundamentally affect human consciousness. The rituals these bloodlines performed in the ancient world are the same as they do now. See The Biggest Secret for the background. They have a detailed annual calendar of events on which they perform their sacrifice rituals in line with key lunar, solar, and planetary cycles to harness that energy for their sick agenda to take complete control of Planet Earth in the very near future.
that all sounds so familiar
when I hear "the illuminati", I think of a bunch of people holding flashlights & candles.
I thought the Illuminati and the catholic church were mortal enemies and the illuminati was started to combat the power of the church.

Nah...theories about extraterrestrial reptilian overlords aside, the Order of the Illuminati was founded by Adam Weishaupt, a professor at the University of Ingolstadt in Bavaria, in 1776. He believed in the abolition of both government and organized religion, so much so that he started a little secret society to that end. Originally he began with five members and called it The Order of Perfectibilists. Later it was renamed the Order of the Illuminati, and it spread throughout Europe.

It wasn't just the Catholic Church, it was all government and all religion.
I'm glad they changed their name. Illuminati sounds so much cooler than Perfectibilists.
