GS,

I don't have a PS2. I refuse to pay that much for a gaming system.

But I did spend $160 for a Ti4200 video card so that my computer could play GTA......

Still, there is something to be said for listening to Charles Heston bitching about traffic while playing GTA. And maybe I'll put Joe Cumia as the main character soon.

200 is not a lot for a game system at all. you could get a new ps2 for 150 on ebay probably.

Ive also heard that the gamecube might drop to $100 before the end of the year, which is amazing.

Please, 200 bucks is nothing, friends of mine spend almost twice that upgrading their Damn video cards, and they still have to fiddle with shit all the time...So much easier, put in disk, play game, rather than put in game, install, try, download new drivers, download latest patch, hopefully play game

You can get a used PS2 in the city for like a 100 bucks.

I do have a question though, should I keep the system on standby when I am not using it or should I shut it down completely by turning the main power off? Does it hurt the system in anyway when its on standby? It's not using any power but I wanna be sure.

Shut it off completely. Better safe, then sorry. The warranty is only for 90 days, unless you bought an extended one.

i agree with mad...i always turn mine off when done playing...its a small load time, so its worth the wait to be safe
