He couldn't hit 90 if he was throwing it out a car driving 60. He's a breaking ball and changeup machine. Yes, he throws fastballs but he's such a soft tosser that it seems off. Your joke would have been better had you used Randy Johnson isntead. Try better next time.

you know as much about baseball as you do banking. the speed of the fastball is not what is important, it is the location for maddox. he sets up all of that off speed stuff with his fastball. if the fast ball isnt working then no one bites at the rest of his stuff. where do i get this from? maddox said it in almost every interview he has done about his success in pitching.

I'm not debating that fact. My point was that Maddux isn't known for his fastball, like countless other pitchers are who you could have cited.
