Imp, not to get personal, but how much did that rig set you back (ballpark)?

Yeah, it is, and Damn expensive too. I can't wait to see the graphics this baby pumps out.

The reason I decided to go with the 2.4 GHz instead of the 2.8 GHz is someone told me I can probably overclock the system to the higher speed. Problem is I don't know how to do that. Does anyone know how to overclock and could you walk me through it?

$1835. It was $2158 before the 15% discount.

not too bad, considering - the discount really helps.

I don't know nuttin' about overclocking except it's usually risky and not worth it for a few extra frames per second - others might disagree, however.

That looks like a killer system Danked, but there are two things I have to say.

First, if you are planning on using the system for gaming, you may want to get a motherboard that is AGP 4X instead of that 8X one. Even though 8X is the "future" I have read a bunch of reviews saying they aren't too stable.

Second is kinda long the same lines. I had thought about going with ABS because of their low prices, but I caught them in a lie and from there on I couldn't trust them. On another motherboard they claimed it to be AGP 8x, but after doing a bunch of research I found that said mobo only came in AGP 4x. I called them on it, but they never had an explanation or bothered to get back to me.

If you do go with them, make sure you completely trust that what their components say are actually what you get.

We'll see. I already made the purchase. I couldn't wait. All in all I paid $1275 for the system. No monitor though. I'll have to use my old one until I can scrounge together some more money and go to Best Buy or some other store and pick one out.

I'm curious about the v.92 modem. I signed up with VTISP back in February with the intention of getting that modem for my laptop and increasing my dial up speed. I'll see how much faster it works. I can't do anything else out where I live except get satellite which is just out of the question.
