- Keyser Soze - 12-27-2003 yes - The Sleeper - 12-27-2003 does this work? - HedCold - 12-27-2003 it probably has to be altered depending on the number of decks the table uses - Keyser Soze - 12-27-2003 Usually more than one deck is in use, so what to do then? You use a system called 'true count'. You do it like this; You divide your 'count' with the number of desks that are left to get a 'true count'. Exampel: You have a count of 8 and there are 3 decks left. Your true count then will be 8/3=2,66 . It can be a little hard to know how many decks that are left but you can see pretty good how many are left. Then you use the chart about to see how much to bet and then use your true count instead of the normal count. There is usually a greater chance for a high true count later in the deck. And if you'r playing in the beginning of a deck you don't have so much control as later on. - The Sleeper - 12-27-2003 you can stop cutting and pasting and tell me if this strategy actually works in real life. - Keyser Soze - 12-27-2003 ive never actually tried, but you absolutely must learn basic blackjack strategy if you don't already know it. otherwise you will be heckled and shunned from many a table. - GonzoStyle - 12-27-2003 Unzip your cargos and show the dealer some knee and steal his chips. - The Sleeper - 12-27-2003 Keyser Soze Wrote:ive never actually tried, but you absolutely must learn basic blackjack strategy if you don't already know it. otherwise you will be heckled and shunned from many a table.I won $50 in blackjack 2 years ago in canada, that's the last time I played so i probably forgot some stuff. I basically just assume the next card will be a 10 and base my decision on that. - Galt - 12-27-2003 Yes, these strategies all work, that's why the casino business is such a bad business to be in. - The Sleeper - 12-27-2003 not everyone is as savvy as us. - Keyser Soze - 12-27-2003 there is no foolproof system, just means to lower the house's advantage. the house always has the edge. - Paper Boy - 12-27-2003 go get yourself a few of those black chips and head over to the roulette table. look for the place on the table where you can bet that the little ball lands on the first, second or third set of numbers. now place one chip on the first third and one chip on the second third or first and third or second and third. you won't get rich but you should be able to make a couple of bucks. or learn to play poker on line. i just made 17.25 while i was typing this out. - Velociti - 12-27-2003 how exactly is the casino business a bad one? I thought they made a killing. - The Sleeper - 12-27-2003 sarcasm velociti's dumb head - Galt - 12-27-2003 Paper Boy Wrote:look for the place on the table where you can bet that the little ball lands on the first, second or third set of numbers. now place one chip on the first third and one chip on the second third or first and third or second and third. You are mathematically guaranteed to lose all of your money using this strategy. Those squares pay out 3x, but you have less than a 1/3 chance of getting a payout. Roulette is a sucker's game. - Keyser Soze - 12-27-2003 Your best odds, without using any strategy is in craps. The house has the smallest edge overall in Craps. - F-Tool - 12-27-2003 The Sleeper Wrote:I won $50 in blackjack 2 years ago in canadaDiffernt set'o rules, eh? - fbd - 12-27-2003 actually, with the roulette system, you win just under 2/3 of the time(the 0 and 00 spots make the odds a bit worse). if you put $5 on the first 12 and $5 on the last twelve and one of them wins, you win $15, gaining a profit of 5. next spin, it falls in the middle, you're total is down 5, but since you technically should be winning on most of the spins, you walk away with a modest profit any other strategeries? i'm off to aruba next week, where i can gamble at 18 Edited By fbdlingfrg on 1072564956 |
