I regret getting her cable to begin with. I should have let her go on watching her dumb soap operas and gameshows using the fucking rabbit ears. She probably thought Pat Sajac and Vanna White really had green skin and wavy lines of static permeated the atmosphere of Hollywood penetrating both buildings and people. It must be some kind of radiation or nuclear poisoning from the time the Martians invaded.

I was cleaning behind the TV and the cable just stopped working, I tried pushing all the buttons but it didn't work...

my grandma's in her mid 90's about oh i dunno, 15 years ago we bought her a basic tape player and some classical tapes. i think that and the toaster is about the highest technology in the house. and you know what, she's perfectly happy hanging her washing on the line and watching cricket a little wavy. she's got that new fangled colour tv in the front room. of course when we visit the children are still only allowed to watch the b&w which stretches everyone's head to about a 4:1 proportion.
