most non-competes are thrown in there so you can't quit and go to a competing company right away. If they broke the contract before it was completed, Infinity would certainly enforce the non-compete clause. However in this case, i doubt they would because if they were to come back to broadcast radio, Infinity probably wouldn't feel too threatened because of all the FCC regulations.

yeah, I'm pretty sure that when a contract expires, the non-compete expires.
Most non-competes that I've seen or heard are in employment contracts that are open-ended. So you can just quit and take all your contacts over to the new place.
