we burned an ant in physics class last year...it worked rather well, actually, as long as we kept the middle of the glass dirrectly over the ant and the distance between them small(it has to do with the focal lenghts...i forget the exacts of it, but i'm pretty sure a few people on the board should know it). we burned a few people's arms and some holes in paper, too

In Chemistry class we did a project using some kind of chemical & electricity, I forget the point... mostly we just played with the current. If everyone took off their shoes & held hands you could feel it go thru you. The smaller the group, the stronger it was. :firebounce:

a science teacher did an experiment with a hand held generator....
rolled wire and magnets, he would crank it and a light would shine...
but the bulb was burnt... he asked if anyone doubted it and would like to volunteer...
I stuck my finger in the socket, in the middle and did not touch the sides,
I acted as though I was getting but a mild shock as he cranked harder and harder
someone else wanted to try after me...
