I was riveted. I kept waiting for him to get to the part where he had no choice but to take that little capsule that is sewn into the seam of his pants and places it under his tounge. Oh the bliss. The 5 seconds of bliss that he would have experienced before he drifted off into that deep, deep, permanent sleep. You can't beat it for the drama of it.

Day 12 Morning:
I slept like a rock last night. I was awoken to the whispers of the guy in the cell next to me. I had almost forgotten he was there. He wanted to know why I didn't run when they took me ouside yesterday. I told him that I would have been shot dead on the spot and that I was trying to come up with another way of getting out. The guard told us to shut up so I went back to lay in my bed.

Day 12 Evening
Jon wasn't at work today. I don't know if he was supposed to be or not but I was looking forward to seeing him again. I asked the guard on duty for some clean clothes as the ones I am wearing are now almost 2 weeks old. I was given a used pair of pants and a t-shirt. My meal didn't come tonight. I don't know if I am being punished or just forgotton. I am hungry.

Day 13 Evening:
I'm sorry I forgot to write something this morning. I just couldn't muster the energy. I am famished. Again I have had nothing to eat. Although I did get a cup of water this evening. I am afraid that they figured out that Jon was trying to help me. The other guards were laughing and talking about him earlier. I wonder if they killed him.

Day 14 Morning:
I didn't sleep well last night. The hunger kept me awake. I am curious as to where my friend has been. I think he may have moved on as I have not had anything to feed to him in a few days. I came up with an idea that might work to get me out of here while I lie awake last night. I will elaborate later as I work out the details.
I just realized that I have now been here two weeks. My family must think I am already dead. I wonder if they sent any money or not.

Day 14 Evening:
Jon is back!!! He gave me another tortilla but didn't say anything to me. Something has caused a change in him. I'm glad he is ok though. I ate the tortilla and went to lay down. I must have fallen asleep at some point because it is now evening and Jon is not at his post, another guard is. Bread and water were left for me this evening. I toss the bread to the corner in hopes that my little buddy is ok too, then I drink the water and its back to bed for me. I am exhausted.
