Everyone says the same thing about turning off pics. Think for a second. Like I'm going to disable pictures for all of my web-browsing because 5% of it has emoticons. I just come here less often.

go to your board control panel.
click on account options.
look under board diaply settings
change all the pic stuff from yes to no
your other websurfing activity will not be affected.
