We had our Holiday party yesterday. We had to pay $14.00 to attend and to bring a guest we had to pay $24.00. A glass of wine was $6.25 and a mixed drink was $6.50. No bonus, no gifts. In fact our state budget is such a mess, we'll probably all be laid off next year. Undecided

mmm get laid... mmmmmmm

I can't wait to try it on. :thumbs-up:

Thanks, TW. It's not looking good for us out here. Nothing like a 21 billion dollar deficit in the state budget to put a crimp the job outlook and any raises we were promised last year. At least I'm not the only one... :-(

Last year I got a $600 bonus, 5% raise, fancy luncheon (free to me), bottle of champagne, assorted gift cards from various businesses we deal with, 1/3 share of all the fruit baskets, cookie platters and plants that came in.

So far this year, we had a catered party at my boss' house, poinsettias, and a box of chocolate covered strawberries to split. It's still early yet though.

i think we get a party some time in january or february. although the way things are going, everyone will have quit or gotten themselves fired by then Undecided

We just had our departmental holiday luncheon today at Cabana at the South Street Sea Port. The company paid for $400 of it, and the two directors of the department picked up the rest of the tab as their gift to us. We're having our agency wide Christmas party on Friday at ZeyTuna's in downtown Manhattan, and from what I saw, the bill is close to $7k. Considering the fact that we're fully funded by the city, and federal government, I think its a little insane, but whatever. I've been there two years with no raise, and no raise in sight because of the fact that I'm a student, so I'll take my free food and count down the days till graduation.

At my old job, my boss would give all the assistant managers $100 for Christmas. It was a lovely sight to see....

i've never even made that in a whole year :-(

- PollyannaFlower46 - 12-14-2002

Me neither.... Undecided Actually, if you double what I make a year, its less than that as well.

- LZMF1 - 12-14-2002

having a dual master's degree and being director of operations has it's perks.

like i said earlier....mrs LZ RULES!!!!!

- crx girl - 12-14-2002

i bet you're not paying 575 for rent plus utilities, cable and phone bill on less than 20 k a year though...

ok, i'm done feeling sorry for myself, until next time...

- PatCooper - 12-14-2002

Holiday party this year is free and it's at the Mariott in mid town. Bonus i just got last week 500 bucks. We get "gifts" for employee apprecitation day but it's usual something dopey. One year it was an umbrella and this year it was a small travel bag.

- LZMF1 - 12-14-2002

CRX stop sulking!!!

The year before I started my job, for employee appreciation day, they took them to the Bronx Zoo. :-o
