it puts you on a list to prevent telemarketers from calling you, today's the last day to apply.
You can still apply after today but then you have to wait 3 months to be added to the list.

We get quite a bit of telemarketing calls at work. I registered those as well as my home numbers. Hopefully the individual telemarketers don't check to see if the number they're deleting from their database is either a home or business number.
