Make sure you have a good heatsink+fan for the Athlon if you overclock it. When I OC'ed my Athlon 2500+, the temp went up by about 15 degrees.

I recently built my own as well:
Abit NF-7M Motherboard
Maxtor 120gig HDD SE
Pioneer DVR-106D DVD-Burner
Sony 52x CD-R
512 pc2700 DDR-RAM

The only problem I had when I built my system was that the stock Heatsink+Fan that came with the processor was not keeping the processor cool enough when I tried to OC it (you usually want to keep it around 42 degrees celcius).

- QuickStop - 03-26-2004

- Jack - 03-28-2004

Because of where I work, I got the board, processor, and a legal copy of Win XP Pro Full for 200 bucks.

- GonzoStyle - 03-28-2004

My computer turns on when I press the on button and then it goes "whoosh"... after that I have no clue.

- Goatweed - 03-28-2004

and then it coughs from your smoking.

speaking of which, you might wanna look into getting something like this - your PC will love you for it.

- GonzoStyle - 03-28-2004

35 bucks for an ashtray, are you insane?

There's nothing wrong with the empty soda can I toss my ashes in.

- Goatweed - 03-28-2004

it's a SMOKELESS ashtray.
