I think this is just a personal vendetta with the Bush family. The Bush family has always been involved in Oil down there in Texas. I find it highly coincidental that both Bush presidents have focused most of their terms on wars with the middle east. A place that posed competition to the family business.
On the other hand, I do also believe that we are doing the right thing to remove Saddam. I will breath a lot easier at night when he is dead and gone. I know that there are many more to take his place, but he is the concern right now. Him and Bin Laden.

Well since the UK exports oil, they don't have as much of an interest in the iraqi oil fields. So Blair I seem to think has a more virtious involvement.
Blair has to stand before parliament every day!! to defend his involvement. He is used to speaking and answering questions. If anyone just watched the meeting they both held at camp david, you could just see the difference. Bush is kinda like an athelete with prepared generic statements like "its about the team", "i just went out there and gave it my best", blah blah blah. Blair is just so PIMP, I'd definetly blow him at lunch. ![]() http://www.dvdspot.com/member=Gonzostyle http://www.myspace.com/brooklyngonzo http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=770777388 diceisgod Wrote:I LOVE YOU GONZY WONZY SNOOKIE WOOKIE DUMPLIN BUNS!

If you look at history, and the reasons behind wars, personal vendettas are not just backstories but entire reasons for going to war. The Bush family clearly wants a pound of flesh from Saddam.

I trust the gov't, but not much. This became as powerful as it has become not by being the perfect country, but by doing whatever it takes, even if that means we need to compromise beliefs and keep it as quiet as possible.
That being said, I believe the gov't can say whatever it wants and we really can't say for sure whether or not its the "truth". Sure, we have correspondents traveling with the troops but that still doesn't impress me. Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty much glued to the war news but that doesn't mean I believe everything I'm being told and shown. Just think of it on a personal level - we have all done something we're not proud of at one time or another and we probably haven't told anyone about it - despite the fact that we try to be decent people. The people we have in office are just that - people, made of the same stuff we are so they're equally prone to either do things or make decisions to so things that might not necessarily be approved of to achieve a certain goal. Add to that the immense power and ability of the gov't being able to bury things....god only knows what kinds of things we, as a "nation", have done in the past or might be doing today. I'm not anti-American or even anti-war (in this case), I just think that people should keep an open mind about what they read and see/hear, not only in regards to this war but to anything the gov't proposes or says. When you have a narrow vision, you really do miss the big picture and you're no better than the brainwashed lemmings in Iraq who believe everything they are told to be the truth.

The structure of how the government is held more accountable for their actions is awesome in the UK. Our president should have to answer to congress on a daily basis, everyone should be accountable.

I am not in any way against the war, I believe that he must be removed, even if Bush's reasons are shady at best.
I just question shit sometimes, because we look at the Iraqi officials and they are so ridiculous but do we look that ridiculous to others? I know that to secure our position, freedom, and power, shit has to be done that aint nice or even good. To suceed even in our trivial lives we gotta do shit that ain't too moral. We shouldn't know everything because on the other side of the lawn, the grass is always greener. It all seems simple but it isnt, you gotta be shady and you gotta be cut throat at times, I dont mind it cause I understand. ![]() http://www.dvdspot.com/member=Gonzostyle http://www.myspace.com/brooklyngonzo http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=770777388 diceisgod Wrote:I LOVE YOU GONZY WONZY SNOOKIE WOOKIE DUMPLIN BUNS!

Some wise man once wrote: "The ends justify the mean". While things may seem unethical to us, whatever it takes to ensure the future peace and prosperity are justifiable in the eyes of the leader.
I believe that quote comes from a novel called The Prince.. written during the renaissance period.

I think Bin Laden felt like the ends justified the means as well. In fact, I think just about every nutcase that every existed felt that way.

What scares me is there is NO exit strategy.
THEY hate us, and any Democratic government we install will be comprised of people who HATE US. if we put a puppet up, eventually he will fall as more and more of our troops leave. ![]()

What gets me as well are the networks who take biased stances, either pro or anti war. Especially fuckin MTV, please stop already. Quit with the investigative reporting, you're a music chanel. E! network isn't doing exclusives with Joan Rivers on her feelings about the iraqi's fashion trends. They gather these 16 year old zombies with their bullshit opinions on a subject they have no clue about, about "struggles" they can never imagine.
All those school budget cuts seem to be kicking in. The kids in school today are just patheticly dumb as rocks and blind. MTV needs to go back to replaying the same 10 videos and quit the psuedo intellectual bullshit, they are the one eyed kings leading the blind. ![]() http://www.dvdspot.com/member=Gonzostyle http://www.myspace.com/brooklyngonzo http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=770777388 diceisgod Wrote:I LOVE YOU GONZY WONZY SNOOKIE WOOKIE DUMPLIN BUNS! |
