I just spent the last four days on six different flights and in and out of Canadian and US Customs and Immigration. There is nothing different going on with security or customs. That is a typical sign that everything is normal for the most part. The hype surrounds the bin Laden tape. We seem to believe that when he makes a statement it is a coded message. I wouldn't worry too much. The missle firings at planes have always been a threat. Just take a look at Newark. Look how easy it would be to hide in the swamps of the meadowlands and fire at a jet taking off or landing. You could fire and dissappear very easily.

It wasnt the tape that triggered the warning, it was the info and non-info from captured AQ LT Abd Al-Rahim al-Nashiri.
If you look at world news for Friday, it was far from a normal day. May not have been anything as big as 911 but there were plenty of incidents around the globe.
As for warnings in general, this was the first one that grabbed my attention.
