Spit... that sounds like a rocking album... I can't wait to hear Alabama Thunderpussy doing "Hymn 43" (quite possibly the ONLY good Jethro Tull song, as far as I'm concerned), but I think someone needs to check out who they are crediting for this:

Gideon Smith & The Dixie Damned "The Pusher" (Steppenwolf)

"The Pusher", albiet a great song, was not written by Steppenwolf, but instead written by Hoyt Axton (check it out if you don't believe me) ...but speaking of "The Pusher", I highly reccomend the Blind Melon version that appears on the record entitled "NICO" that was released shortly after Shannon Hoon died...

As far as good/bad covers... there are way too many of both, although I tend to agree with VG & Maynard... I'll listen to it just to see how it sounds... when I think of a few, I'll list them.

I thought the Pusher was by Steppenwolf, that's who the credit goes to on Nico (and allmusic.com - I just checked)...and yeah, that's one of my favorite covers too...Nico is such a wonderful album

And if you want to hear a great cover....try doenloading Halfway to Gone's cover of the Marshall Tucker Band's "Can't You See"...it's gonna be on the album, but it was also a hidden track on their new album "Second Season" These guys are from Long Branch, but rock harder than just about everything out there right now...lots of whisky blues rock!
