I just don't give a shit about BBQ holidays. I grew up in the city so it's just another day for the most part.

I have to say, I feel the same way. I grew up in Jersey City, the closest we ever got to have a BB-Q was odering some fried chicken from the corner deli, and chopping up a water mellon.
