True, but then you should have at least made some effort to find out about some candidate.
In my district the vote is for Governor, Attorney General, comptroller, House representative, state assembly, and judges. You should at least know something about the bigger candidates - whether you are happy with what they've done or not. Are you happy? do you want change? these usually are simple enough questions. Maybe not for everyone, but at least one race.
Having said that I think that most people who vote choose stupidly; but that's the price we pay for a democracy.
